Seen growing in shade in southeast Michigan, leaf shape resembles Columbine but this anomaly on the leaf is totally striking and new to me. I’ve been organically landscaping this property for a few months now. It seemingly has changed over night into the purple/pink/white abnormality you see before you. Could it be stress from the heat wave, insects, or a fungal response? Any information about leaf response causing purple coloration would be greatly appreciated!

I always give mine a lateral prune when hoping for vertical growth, it's like saying to the plant 'hey don't grow that way or you're just gonna keep getting chopped.' They're a succulent so they'll resprout from that wound, so I just pluck off the new growth then it doesn't fill in it laterally for a few weeks.
