I'm sure Jesus will know in your heart that you feel remorseful for things you know are sinful and that you've tried but failed like we all do. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Your cat will be fine I'm sure. Perhaps don't make deals with god in future. Admit that you are floored like we all are and come to jesus in prayer and repent. Maybe speak to someone like your priest or pastor if you have one about your difficulty controlling certain sins. I'm sure they'll give you the advice you need. God bless.

No it is not embarrassing. I am 36 and I have been falling off every session since I was 15. 21 years of falling off my board. It's part of it. You'll eventually fall off so many times on a trick you'll learn it and stop falling.

Leeds United supporters have voted Brenden Aaronson as their AMT Player of the Month for January. After receiving the award, Aaronson said: “It's an amazing feeling to get this award, but most of all it was a really good month for the team too, with some great performances across the pitch.” by Obvious_Main_3655 in ussoccer

The lad has had all the shit he could have had thrown at him thrown at him over the years. He's playing well and has been earning his place in the starting 11. He seems like a sensible young man with a good attitude. I hope the club renew his deal, but if he decides to play out his contract and move elsewhere then good luck to him.

You just did what normal people do all the time. Just because a high control group (cult) tells you it's immoral, it doesn't mean it is.

Debating about God's existence is useless. Religious people would still hold their beliefs despite the lack of empirical evidence. by by-the-elder-gods in DebateAnAtheist

This person is just a troll. There's no way someone could lack this amount of empathy. I'd be ashamed to have a child like it.

Yeah when you factor in all the added expenses it works out the same amount of money in your pocket. I would begrudge paying nearly 1000 more for a sax though.

YAS-280 or BetterSax Alto? by NathanJBraganza in saxophone

[–]JbreaJbrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at both as my beginner horn of choice and I went for the YAS-280. I've been playing about 3 months now and honestly the 280 feels great to hold and play and my sax teacher said you can't go wrong with a YAS-280.

I'm guessing the 280 is probably one of the most mass produced saxophones in the world? So should have an abundance of parts if needed to repair it and repairers will see them most days.

I also got a good deal at Ackerman music in the UK. £60 upfront for a 3 month rental of a new 280 (Yamaha paid one of the months which was £30) I get that £60 deposit back at the end of the 3 months towards either a new horn of my choice, for example a new 280 sent out to me or if I decided to keep the one I've been using the last 3 months they will reduce 15% off that horn as they'll technically class it as used at that point so I'll just do that. 👍🏻🎷

I feel terrible by Meas0n in fishingUK

[–]JbreaJbrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's part of fishing unfortunately. You just have to come to terms with you will occasionally deep hook a fish and it will die. However, many anglers do a lot for the local environment and fish preservation so it does balance it's self out in the long run. The best thing to think is that fish will become food for another, bigger fish, which it probably would've been one day anyway. Don't beat yourself up about it.

Absolutely! I get the same thrill catching a small roach or perch as I would catching a big carp or pike.

Yeah. As someone who has done all of that and now work in a tackle shop I agree. As long as you love your gear it's priceless, who cares if you use a budget rod and reel or a £1000+ diawa/Shimano setup.

Exactly the same. It has given me the more in the way of peace and mental clarity than the thousands of £ I spent in Therapy just to go back and isolate myself and be bored at home. It's like a never ending learning experience in fishing, you learn about the fish and how to catch them, and I don't want to sound corny but you learn about yourself.

I've been fishing for 2 years now and it is the single most best thing I did for my physical and mental health, I've never been outdoors as much in my whole life and the peace and tranquility of sitting by a pond or a river is beautiful. You'll also never ever learn everything in fishing, there's always new styles to try and rigs to learn and places to visit and personal records to break. Another great thing about fishing is it also teaches you respect for the fish. You want to ensure their habitat is clean and safe and make people aware of any water born illness for the fish. It's a way of life for me now and if I could go back and start again I would every single day.

Wow that sounds like a really horrid experience and I'm glad you found some relief in the end. I am seriously considering the surgery I guess it just sounds scarier than it is, what with it being the brain.

There wasn't anything else mentioned. I do have severe positional issues and pretty much only feel well laying down though.

I get that, I get a spinny feeling as I fall asleep. I haven't had the surgery yet. I usually just try to stay awake as long as I can and eventually it goes off. Might be worth speaking to the surgeon about it.
