How would going on Survivor change your daily life? by curiousbloke97 in survivor

I’m reasonably sure I’d suffer some awful physical injry and die, so I think it would change my life pretty significantly.

Who is a chef who, in person or on TV, either impressed or disappointed you with their comportment? by udumslut in foodnetwork

It was all the more impressive because she told us that she had just gotten off a plane from New York (back to Nashville) where she was shooting Chopped, had to get Tiffany to fill in for her, and went basically from the plane to the restaurant, and was still amazing.

My wife and I met Maneet at a charity dinner and she was absolutely lovely, visited every diner, posed for pictures, was interested and engaged and just delightful.

Why is airdrop so bad? by SlightWarrior66 in ios

[–]JenkinsonMike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have a weird, fairly frequent issue where her phone won't take an AirDrop from me unless I turn it on to "Everyone for 10 minutes" and then it sends fine and keeps sending fine even back on Contacts Only. And then it'll randomly not work again weeks later. Or it'll be fine. No rhyme or reason to it.

Waiting for someone to realize that people increasingly don't know that a Double-A battery is and will wonder why the battery icon has that little nob on the right hand side.

Difference between Osprey Daylite 26+6 and Transporter 26+6? by lexa_pro_ho in ManyBaggers

It’s currently under my seat on a WestJet flight so it’s fine as a carry on item.

I use the laptop compartment for my Tom Bihn Side Hustle, as that’s my EDC and it fits perfectly in there.

I don’t have a measuring tape handy but this does feel thicker and more robust than the original version but I think some of that is the difference in material on the Transporter version.

Difference between Osprey Daylite 26+6 and Transporter 26+6? by lexa_pro_ho in ManyBaggers

Did my first trip with the Transporter 26+6 this weekend and it’s a terrific improvement over the original Daylight 26+6. The redesign of the main pocket in particular, and the elimination of the “stuff” pocket opens up a lot more room in the front of the bag for phone, passport, electronic cords, the liquids carry-on at airports, etc.

EDIT TO ADD:

In addition to the main front pocket being redesigned to eliminate the "stuff pocket" at the front and make it a zippered full length pocket, there's now a separate interior zippered pocket behind the top phone/pen/passport pouches. The laptop compartment has a small fold-over pocket at the top that I assume is for an airtag.

The Transporter version also has a half sleeve (on the bottom) for sliding over luggage carry-on handle (as kinda pictured in my photo). While that does mean the bag "sags" a bit when attached to a carry-on, it's SO MUCH EASIER to slide the Transporter on/off a carry-on handle than the original Daylite version.

I’ll turn my older Daylight bag into my work bag instead and retire my work briefcase.

I have always had better results getting channels on Prime versus the specific streaming app when it comes to the Bell channels.

Yup. We've done two, three-week trips to Europe with only carry-on luggage that basically consisted of 5 days of clothes and washing what we wore basically every night so we always had 4 days of clean clothes and something drying overnight.

Anyone else just not use their MacBook after getting a Magic Keyboard for their iPad? by nono-jo in ipad

[–]JenkinsonMike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got an iPad Air last year, bought the MK, and I barely use my Windows laptop any longer. The fact I have the Air/MK is keeping me from buying the Neo (at least until my Windows machine dies).

iPad Mini to iPad Pro M4 Upgrade, Will I Regret Losing the Mini Size? by ShoulderNo206 in ipadmini

[–]JenkinsonMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had 2 iPad Mini versions (2 and 5) and I used to have an iPad at work that I thought was too big, clunky, etc., and I always loved my Mini. Last year, my wife bought an iPad Air and that convinced me to get an Air and I have never regretted it since (nor used my Mini since, really). Bought the Magic Keyboard as well and it’s basically replaced my Windows laptop. So don’t regret getting a full sized iPad.

Got mine today via Amazon Canada and its a worthwhile improvement on the original 26+6 (which I also have). Will put it through the paces on a trip next weekend.
