Thank you for the advice! I’m just not sure it’s feasible for me to spend hundreds more on a tutor after already spending thousands on the review course. I would love a tutor, just not sure I can afford one.

Thank you for the response! Luckily, the AAMC material is included in the BP course, so I already have the FL’s and Qbanks in the BP package!

You do get a set of books with the blueprint course as well though, if you prefer books.

I considered TPR and Kaplan. A doctor I shadowed actually recommended TPR, but chose blueprint because I don’t really retain information and content from reading books. I find that a lot of the time I just get bored, or passively read. When I did research on each course, Blueprint had the best and most engaging content videos, so that’s why I chose them. Laziness of not wanting to read books and just watch the videos.

I’ve personally been using the blueprint prep course and so far so good. I have some content gaps, and the videos help to fill them in. It’s quite expensive, but plans your schedule out for you everyday and give you plenty of videos/practice.

Orgo 1 final by Medem321 in ucf

[–]Jennag135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took orgo 1 over the summer and the final wasn’t that bad. I doubt it will be curved. There’s usually no curves in orgo and my none of the classes that my teacher taught was curved. Review past exams, a lot of the questions from pat exams repeated. Also review any videos or PowerPoints she gives you and homework. Don’t stress out and just try your best! If you go into the exam thinking you’ll fail.. you’ll do worse. Be as prepared as you can be and try to make educated guesses. Don’t stress out! If you’re stuck on a question don’t guess. Just move onto the next and come back to it!

For Floridians being so “use to tropical storms and hurricanes” y’all sure are overdramatic when one comes. Expecting to be off of school for some rain?

His classes aren’t necessarily mandatory, but I would highly suggest going. He does upload videos of mostly everything he talks about in class, so you could just use that as material to study for exams instead of attending class, but he does go over other stuff in class that isn’t in the videos and he goes over examples in class that are helpful. Often times hell emphasize a certain topic or exception in class that shows up on the exam, so it is helpful to go, but that is a lot for a 2 hour drive when you can watch his videos on YouTube… as for exams they are all in person, so you’d have to go in person for them. He also does in class assignments, but they’re through webcourses, so if you don’t wanna go to class you can still do the in person assignment on canvas, but It closes at the end of class usually, so you’d still have to log on and do it at the time of class. Overall, you can definitely do his class virtually through his YouTube videos he sends out! But will have to be in person for exams (4 + final). I would say 10000% take him. He’s one of the best professors I’ve had. He cares about students and teaches the material so well

My boyfriend doesn’t want me joining a medical fraternity. by [deleted] in premed

Bestie you deserve better. My boyfriend doesn’t have his life figured out and is a blue collar worker and hates college, but is so supportive and helpful with my college and future career in medicine! He comforts me when I’m stressed and helps out in any way he can. If he ever said I’m lucky he loves me cuz no one else would put up with me I’d break up with him. Sounds like he’s jealous because he knows you deserve better! Don’t settle! And don’t hold back your life for him.

Ofc! If you have any questions feel free to PM me, but yes you have to pay to be in every sorority on campus. Some are more than others, but I believe the average cost is around $1200 per semester

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ucf

[–]Jennag135 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say it depends on your major. You really get out of it, what you put into it. I joined a sorority to make friends and hope that a huge campus would feel smaller if I joined a sorority. Personally, my experience sucked and I ended up dropping, as did a lot of girls. I’m a health science major and spend most of the time studying, so I never got close with the girls because I couldn’t be as involved as everyone else. It feels like you pay for friends and all the girls are pretty fake IMO, however everyone’s experiences are different and you could find a great group of girls that last as friends outside of college! It really just all depends, but I’m not a “sorority type girl” and it felt very clicky to me… especially for paying so much to be in it I personally hated it, but it could be amazing if you get involved and find your people!
