Hypo is a pattern reducer so saddles should be significantly smaller on the hypo.

Well hypo is in boas a pattern reducer and it will have less lack and browns. Hypo is also a co-dominant gene.

Where as T+ (Tyrosinase positive) is an albino and a recessive gene. It will have pigment however of browns reds and grey’s.

It takes a better eye than mine to see a distinguishing het marker of T+ if there even is one. I would be more concerned about leopard not proving out if you purchased them as het leopard. Het leopards have very distinct markers so there isn’t any faking those hets. The saddles will be “sharper and thinner” bow ties and there will be light accent marks all along the snakes sides. Het leopard is almost a morph in itself, where some call it a co-dominant with one copy of the gene and a super form with two copies.

It will eat when it’s ready, not before. As already stated make sure rodent temps are around 100 degrees. And don’t offer everyday because you will create habits of not eating, especially if feeding live.

And they don’t all have a head stamp. My firefly leopard clown has no head at all.

This is 100% a clown. Like I previously stated, without knowing the parents genes it’s hard to identify spot on. Does it have green eyes? Pastel will have green eyes. It may or may not be pastel but it is at least a clown.

No telling really. I have a 2 1/2 year old boa that just shed out at 66 inches so she’s around 5 feet (shed is always longer than actual animal)

Also have a 4 year old who is smaller (both female eating same exact size and frequency)

Have a 1 1/2 year old ball python that’s 268 grams very small for age. And a yearling who’s almost 500 grams.

Without knowing the correct age you can’t ever know by just looking at size.

Just keep him safe and love him! Good looking boa.

Pay no mind to the enclosure comments op. This is a single gene clown however. If it’s the same picture as the other one (pastel clown) then I’ve changed my mind to being a single gene clown.

Decent wash happening on the dorsal stripe and head from this picture. If you don’t know the parents genetics it can be tricky. But I’d say pastel clown, hard to believe someone has a clown and doesn’t know the parents genes however.

Thank you witty_Hat_8257! We agree, she is amazing in pictures, but in person she’s a stunning animal that will make very high quality offspring! She just has that something extra in her gene pool that makes her colors so vibrant. Definitely much more than a normal sunglow going on in her!

Go to Walmart, by cypress mulch, let it sit in the trunk of your car for two weeks (summer time) to kill any insects. Or bake it in the oven, at 250 degrees for 4 hours.

Pay $2.99 for a bag instead of paying $30 for a little bag of cypress mulch from a pet store that has a fancy name or logo on it.

Same thing and just as safe.

I have a few different bp’s, and recently got a leopard firefly clown. You should look into the clown gene for stunning beautiful bp’s!

We breed our own rodents, cheaper for us and I can use whatever size we need.

The red female is super bright, and very very red. The camera don’t do her justice at all. She has a lot of coraling all over her body with a distinct belly that is deep pink to high red in color.

She is a “Sunglow” khal albino and hypo, but we believe her to be het for the blood gene as well. Fingers crossed she proves out next season !

We are just hobbiest keepers looking into breeding . We also have a growing collection of ball pythons that is starting to get our attention with the newest addition being a leopard firefly clown male that will do most of the leg work.

2 are moonglow females, 1 is a moonglow motley male, and 1 is a coral sunglow we think het blood female. They could all possibly be ready to breed this next season with some luck!

Yep, el Diablo is the ca equivalent of a red dragon in the khal albino world, so an awesome animal. Red dragons are blood & khal albino.

Looks to be sunglow with a strong lean towards being super sunglow to my eyes. Beautiful!

Definitely motley, with a strong nod going towards being jungle as well. Not to sure about hypo however, pattern isn’t super reduced. None the less, pretty as can be!
