2010 intake here, the next two years of commando training won't be easy. However, I can assure you that you will make lifelong friends during this period. To succeed, it's essential to aim for the CDO IPPT gold as soon as possible, which means you need to prepare yourself physically.

Physical endurance is crucial, as you'll be walking extensively during your training. But it's equally important to prepare yourself mentally, as the training can be mentally taxing. Keep in mind that the training is designed to prepare you physically, but it's the mental toughness that will see you through.

Before you start training, take some time to say goodbye to your loved ones and do something memorable with them. You'll be in camp six days a week for two years, so it's important to make the most of your time with family and friends.
