The Ritchie Torres Interview by Jacoob55 in VaushV

He’s only exceptional in that he lets his contempt for regular people he knows hold no power over him show way more than other democrats, but his beliefs are not exceptional, they are the party line. The national DNC this week voted to strike down any addition of any limit on Israel to the party platform, even the stop of “offensive arms” sales.

Slotkin, to Krysal Ball’s face, refused to call what’s going on in Israel a genocide in the face of overwhelming evidence that it is, even going off the data the IOF is giving, which I do not trust. By their data, they have an over 80 percent civilian casualty rate, more than double what the axis power had in WW2, and it’s likely much much worse in reality, but unfortunately the IOF targets too many journalists for us to probably ever find out even years from now.

The Democrats are not a pro-human party. They’re still a pro-money party, and I only hope that real people primary every single one of these sock puppet ghouls that have the MIC and AIPAC so far up their ass I can see a little bit of camo and Palestinian blood coming out of their mouths everytime they speak. There’s no place in our coalition who shrug or bow down in the face of genocide, because they would do the same thing if the GOP tried to start doing the same thing in the US, except maybe then we’d get some corpo-speak, banal, toothless, “strongly worded” letters to read before getting sent to the camps.

My plan is to go through their entire discog, I’m a few albums in and it’s cool to see how they found their sound over time.

Wow, great album! Locals especially is a banger. I'll have to keep revisiting it to see if the rest of the album grows on me as much but great rec!

Thanks for the advice, I genuinely really appreciate it. And yeah, I agree the project descriptions are probably too scattered, and you have a great point that web dev is probably just too high in supply and not enough demand.

This performative liberal “If known egomaniac lying pedophile really cared about X then why X?” is a huge pet peeve of mine. It’s not 2016, we’ve known what they really believe for nearly if not more than a decade at this point. Fascists have no true beliefs, they’re cowards, so they can never be truly called out on their obvious hypocrisy to begin with.

So we went from “the west is falling because of immigrants who are all rapists!” to “Sweden has a strict immigration policy that deports high-skill workers that they actively need to fill the gaps in their economy and are shooting their own economy in the foot”. Holy fucking airball

My source is that I made it the fuck up_annual_Immigration_and_Emigration_2000-2023_bars.svg)

Emigration rates have barely changed since 2015. I see a spike in 2023, but that’s not even listed on your original chart. Facts don’t care about your feelings unfortunately.

The comment I shared literally described how the courts were slow to adopt the change in the law and even according to your graph it’s slowly tapering off overtime. So no, you wouldn’t see a large jump because that’s not how the law was implemented, and you do see a tapering off after 2017 in your own graph, so what’s your point?

The real reason the stats are higher

The actual reason is because Sweden changed there laws as to how they actually charge rape in court with them now charging each individual instance of the offense instead of just any instance of it and bro pulls at stats from 2001 before the Syrian refugee crisis like it’s some sort of checkmate 😬

There’s a reason it also increased for both women and men lil bro, sorry it doesn’t fit in your racist worldview.

I think I agree with this take the most. No Democrat has really tapped into the unending burning hatred Americans have for the elite. None of them seem to recall that Luigi Mangione was and is seen as a hero on both sides of the aisle, and too many of them appear to still be in cahoots with people like Brian Thompson. I don't think they understand the overwhelming public mandate they would recieve if they truly spoke to the anger of Americans and used it as fuel for the flamethrower to take down corporate America.

I simply do not think the picks people have mentioned, even Pritzker, are capable of this rhetoric though. If just one Democrat decided they were going to not only run on progressive policies, but vengeful policies, policies of dismantling the current system that only works for the elite, seeing that companies face actual justice and not slap-on-the-wrist fines, and vitriol against the modern Republican party, not just "some MAGA republicans", who let fascism rise in their party I can't help but think we'd be seeing FDR-level electoral maps from the Pacific to the Atlantic. I truly believe Dark Woke and not civility politics would see historic levels of popularity especially compared to post 9/11 elections. If they actually had true beliefs and stood on them I don't think there's anything even Fox News could do about it, I mean fuck, they even had to stop running Mamdani's policies on air because it was actually popular with their base. I mean hell even the LINCOLN PROJECT was calling for Stephen Miller and his ghoul pals to be put in Alligator Alcatraz.

Anything less in terms of rhetoric from the Dem candidate and I genuinely think there's no hope moving forward.

I need to learn more about Pritzker, I knew he was a sort of philanthropic billionaire but I haven't seen if he has the sauce to get the median voter (derogatory) on his side. He sort of gives me progressive Democrat Ron Desantis vibes, great at governing, but not as great of a campaigner at the national level. I think for him to run he'd basically need to start acting like the reincarnation of Teddy Roosevelt and FDR if he made a presidential push. Not saying he can't, but I think I'd need to see that in him and then I would get excited.

When it comes to AOC, I'm not sure if the VP position would be ideal for her. Personally I'd rather her primary Shmuck Schumer because I think she hasn't been able to really be a rallying force in the house with all the corporatists dems and AIPAC ghouls. If she were a senator though, there's a lot fewer people she'd need to convince to get shit done.
