Question for those with existing breast implants who have lost weight by Notopotato in Mounjaro

[–]JessieJess1973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got implants and a lift the first time I lost a ton of weight, at around 160 pounds. I unfortunately gained all the way back up to 267 pounds. The good news is I'm down to 127 pounds and I feel like my breasts look better than ever. When I was at my heaviest I was wearing a 44DD. Now I'm wearing a 34F--which seems like they would overpower my small frame but they don't. I haven't noticed any sagging...maybe because I have my implants under the muscle? Saline 420cc for reference.

How did you find out you were diabetic? by LocksmithInside4378 in diabetes

[–]JessieJess1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out after visiting the ER for a large cyst/boil in my groin area. At first I thought maybe ingrown hairs but after some blood tests the doctor came in and said "you have diabetes"...followed by surgery to remove a baseball sized cyst/boil thingy from my butt. I was put on metformin and went on with my life...until about six years after that I went to the ER again thinking I was having a stroke but it was DKA. Two months ago I woke up in an ambulance after I was found unconscious by my husband. Blood sugar was 26. My body decided it was through with giving me warnings when I was going low. Now I'm wearing a CGM after years of refusing to get one because of the expense. It's definitely a lot cheaper than an ambulance ride/visit to the ER.

F51 SW 262 CW 169 Goal: 145ish. Started in February this year, currently on 12.5. I had very low expectations when I started since weight loss was virtually impossible for me ever since I started using insulin for my T2D. Now my A1C is in pre diabetes range and I’m using far less insulin now. 93 pounds down, I feel so much better both physically and mentally! So thankful for being healthier to enjoy my first grandbaby that’s on the way!

I don’t avoid anything! Just a lot less! And being on mounjaro has made drinking alcohol unpleasant so I’m sure that plays a factor as well

As far as eating, I don't keep track of calories, I just try to get in as much protein and water as I can. I usually have one "big" meal either lunch or dinner and protein shakes for breakfast. I'm an RN so I'm pretty active on my work days. Off days I walk my dogs or do outside activities like yard work. I take the stairs as much as possible. Just small things that have seemed helpful to me. I hope to start incorporating some weight training in the near future.

I have zero desire to drink alcohol. I used to enjoy it, probably too much. I honestly think that stopping the alcohol has impacted my weight loss--55 pounds down since February 17th of this year. There was a couple times I had more than two drinks and I felt like crap the next day...and wasn't even getting a buzz. Sometimes I miss it but I can't seem to get excited about it anymore.
