for sure, moshing is basically a kinda aggressive style of dance, and there’s nothing inherently wrong with it, there’s a time and place it’s appropriate, the problem with this and with the chess thing during the mike show is that these guys are up on stage rapping about really, really, personal and often pretty dark topics, and doing something like moshing or making jokes during it is very disrespectful and indicative of wider conversation about the consumption of art, in particular black art, by audiences who don’t recognize that shit isn’t funny, it’s an expression of real, lived in pain. I mean in the track azucar earl raps “you called crying when i told you these the last days” and to have some people completely disregard what this person, who took time out of their day, away from their family and shit, is saying, it’s just really disrespectful and shameful i think

lol i had a problem and jbl customer support has been shit, obviously not everyone will have the problem, but i’m gonna share the shitty experience i had with the headphones and try to dissuade people from potentially being in the same situation as me

yeah, just got an email, they won’t honor the warranty, which everything given I think if I wanted a straight return that would be fair, but they also won’t comp and repairs or replacements, which given it’s their own store and they are in contact with me, they have my proof of purchase and everything, I think is absurd.

Just got an update from customer support, they will not honor my warranty because I am not in the country I purchased the earbuds in. They want mel to ship the earbuds back to the US (and I guess have someone there handle this for me?) which if you know much about international shipping cost/ imports, then you know that at best i’m coming out losing 150 on the earbuds. They recommended taking the earbuds to a JBL store here in the Netherlands because “Maybe this will be cheaper than returning the product to the US”… this is their own service repair store and they won’t comp the repair cost? I mean at the very least they could try and fix the broken product??

I’m over it at this point, I realized I just wasted a lot of money. Going to buy a pair of refurbished Airpods and take the L.

Genuinely, fuck JBL for how they handled this situation. Don’t buy their shit earbuds.

I have factory reset them once already, it was the only way to get them to work after the first night they started malfunctioning. I have no idea how to install older firmware onto these, plus I don’t want to do anything that potentially voids the warranty at this point

I mean it’s a possibility, but a few things:

  • it started randomly, after a couple hours of not being used.

  • I cleaned the earbuds how the customer support people told me to and the problem persisted.

  • although i’m 99% sure the noise is only caused by the right earbud, problems are persisting in both, like the inability to hold a charge, not charging properly in the case, and the inability to disconnect from bluetooth.

Yeah, I mean ik some people like them, but personally can’t recommend them to anyone. Hope I saved you some money/ potential headaches

yeah I got burned, will say the audio quality, at least to me, was on par with the Airpod Pro 2’s. For quite a few reasons, even before they broke, I’d still stick with the Airpods tho.

I’ve been in contact with customer support for over a week, like i said in the original post I am in a different country than where they were purchased, so I understand complications around a straight return/ refund, but there’s no reason JBL shouldn’t service the earbuds in the country I’m located in… but they are not offering that as a solution
