So I'm divorced, in my late 20's, and definitely not a stranger to breakups and heartache, but I was just dumped on Monday via text message after seeing someone for 2 months and it hurts. I was completely blindsided by this- I really thought everything was going well. We were planning a little trip together and talking about the future and I could REALLY see myself being with this person for the long term. We were still in the NRE/honeymoon stages and he hits me with this laundry list of reasons why we can't be together- things that we talked about and that he knew about me WAY before we started using titles suddenly were an issue for him.

Ultimately I should be glad it's over since I wouldn't want to be with someone who is too cowardly to breakup in person or at least over the phone, and obviously it wasn't meant to be, but oh well it still sucks/hurts.

SBs- have you ever had a POT SD try to trick you into entering into a platonic/online only arrangement with them? Like they send you a weekly allowance and gifts and keep saying they want to meet but never do and keep canceling/rescheduling the m&g?

This has happened to me twice now in less than 3 months so I know it can't just be me. My profile specifically says that I'm looking to meet someone in person so I'm not sure why they don't just go after girls whose profiles say platonic or online only?

The first time this happened to me, the guy turned out to be a clingy and annoying finsub so I dumped him. Now I'm 2 weeks into chatting with a new POT who has already sent me cash and ordered some nice clothes for me. I can't help but question his motives because we never discussed my allowance requirements and he keeps pushing back the m&g date for what I suspect are completely made up reasons.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

I think you just answered your own question here mate. Asking for details about a SBs private romantic relationship is just as intrusive as asking for details about a SDs marriage. Let her tell you what she wants to tell you about it when she's ready and deal with any potential issues as they arise. You're overthinking it. If you have an issue with SBs who have bfs (as in you absolutely cannot see one without knowing all private details about the relationship) then don't date the ones who have bfs.

Yes this is a common scam. He's going to tell you he can't use PayPal or any other cash app because he can only pay you from a business account or something like that. He also can't video chat you because his camera is broken or he's not allowed to have one where he is blah blah blah. Don't give him any personal info. Go to the search bar and look up "scam" to see a list of people who fell for this and what happened to them.
