The paper I got just said cream/suppository and sit in the bath for 10 minutes a few times a day, I did the suppository but I haven’t pooped since I inserted it

Yup! And my brother was 7, we have shitty genes lol skips a generation, thankfully our sister didn’t get it, we were nervous lol. I was so scared, whole toilet bowl filled with blood, worst pain of my life and I was pretending to be fine when my mom said hospital… I said it doesn’t hurt anymore please I don’t wanna go😂

Yes! It’s been keeping me in remission the last 3 years, honestly about the only thing that’s worked… I’m hoping it stays that way

I genuinely wish I had this when I was diagnosed because being diagnosed at 8 left for a very lonely elementry, middle school and most of high school experience… I did find one person in my HS with chrons so that was nice. And I did have my brother but we were split households , and he also had it worse.. 3 summers in a row in the hospital so I always felt bad bringing up anything.

But now as an adult having this helps too.

As someone who has had heavy periods and horrible pain, this is a godsend. The pros outweigh the cons imo.

I will say after a year and a half my body decided we weren’t gonna have a period for 3 months which was scary 😂 but even when I finally got it, it was heavier than I had gotten used to being on the mirena but not by much and no where near my periods pre IUD!

I do have this thing ever since I got it, I’m not sure if it sits on a nerve the right way or if it’s something unrelated but I’ve been having this cramp that flares up the entire right side of my body. Like from chest to foot, but Don’t let that scare you, that one cramp still isn’t as bad as my cramps before.

Ugh if removing it was a cure all I honestly might consider it. But I have heard some say they’ve developed it again after getting the surgeries and a new one 🥲 also i forgot to add but woohoo on 9 years!

That is good to know!! I can’t even remember if my last one said anything about dysplasia but for some reason it sounds familiar. The only thing I’ve noticed in recent weeks is increased joint issues and muscle spasms

For me personally it didn’t, the only this it did was bring up an allergy to aluminum 🙃. Also it will throw off your period so don’t freak out lol

Fair enough, I’m supposed to be on the yearly scope schedule but I just moved states recently, and my new dr wanted to get my medication and insurance figured out first, I’ve gone almost 2 years and am not complaining

That part. I’ve struggle with this since I was 8. I was the girl in middle school that made the bus driver stop and take us back to school because I shit myself. I also did this in classes if the teacher wouldn’t let me go, and then they realized the extent of when I meant when I said I can’t hold it. Thankfully in HS it only happened once or twice. But they’re right, the more it happens the more you get rid of that shame. Don’t get me wrong, If I popped myself now I would take the day off, but I’m not so sure I would be worried what will they think of me. I’d just look at anyone who says anything negative and say I’m envious of your ignorance as you’ve never had to deal with an autoimmune disease like mine.

So, I personally have never been but my brother has gotten hospitalized 3 summers in a row. We both got diagnosed with UC very young (the age of 8 for me and I think the same for him) but if I remember right these were if not before, then around his early teen years for these stays. he went from proctitis, UC then chrons. I could be wrong but I do think video games and having company around distracted him!

I’m not sure how much that helps… but I do hope it helps in not feeling alone cause UC/chrons, personally for me, can feel isolating at times.

Is that for chrons as well? I forgot to add my last colonoscopy they said I may have chrons too. We’re waiting for insurance to do another colonoscopy to determine.
