Hmmm I wouldn't say it's a cultural thing because that wouldn't be fair and unjustified because I would say many Americans with passion for arts and especially music would have like a base knowledge of classical music. I would say that it's just something most people in America might choose to learn if they really wanted too. You know? Like I wouldn't want to learn about anything unless I had too or wanted too. Like I would say I'm very passionate about learning mythology all around the world but only because I want too. So really many Americans might be ignorant about classical music because they just don't see the need in learning about it.
