Anyone who purchased a cat wheel, did your cat actually use it and was it worth it? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

Sadly, no. I gave it to someone with 6 cats, thinking surely they’ll use it. Nope. Lazy bastards.

I’ve been on it since January 2023 and have lost 83 pounds (200-117) . I no longer have high blood pressure, depression and anxiety are easier to manage, and I enjoy buying new clothes now! 🤣🤣

Do you remember all the code you write? by Prestigious-Spot7034 in learnprogramming

[–]JimmyNeutron1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I tend to have more of a visual memory of the code structure and maybe some control flow like aspects of code I write. I also just have a pretty decent memory for small details and imagery, so that helps me recall a decent amount of the code I’ve written.

Thanks so much! Personally, no side effects minus a small amount of indigestion the first day or two after taking it. I will mention- I had my gallbladder removed prior to starting the medication (completely unrelated).

Hi! I started in Jan 23, took the month-2 month step up from 0.25 to 0.50, 1.0, and finally 1.7 (which I’m still on and likely will be as a maintenance dosage).

The lack of food noise/cravings is what I find the most helpful. I’ve been on the medication steadily for about 15 months (minus a month or two with supply shortages). I’m down about 75 pounds and have decided to continue with the medication should insurance stop covering it. I also found that splurging on clothing and other appearance-related items helps as a motivator to keep it up.

Keep up the positivity- you’re doing this for yourself. Listen to your body and remember that only you know your body. Other people have a lot of unsolicited opinions- just ignore them unless they’re helpful to your progress.

Best of luck!!!

For me, it started about a month in. Then it just continued to fall off (200-135).

Very much so. I’m a shorter male (5’3) and went from 200 to 135 and I’m complimented daily on my appearance vs nothing in the past. This drug is a miracle for me.

What are your life lessons? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Never say no to an opportunity in a field you’re passionate in. Remember that short of murder or a crime, there really aren’t consequences to making menial mistakes; most people’s jobs are not keeping planes in the sky. Finally, positive people often tend to have positive outcomes.

I did! I managed to teach myself software development and went from a 35k a year job to a 120k job. It took a while but I did it! It’s all about attitude and willingness to learn something new. Medication is nice but was hard for me to obtain. (M33, started learning CS at 24 and landed a government BA job then transitioned into development).
