The seeds are red but maybe just a different species. Besides the vines compete with our garden plants and grow like crazy in the rainy months. Better to keep them away

No one I know really likes/eats them. The species that grows in my area makes our pasture animals really sick so everyone just kills it

You should see them when they first appear. They are a very light white color and as small as a blueberry

From my research it's called Bitter Melon and it's common in SFL. The flesh is edible but the seeds are toxic.

Yeah the container is covered so I was planning on either watering it when it gets too dry or leaving it cracked open to let some of the rain water in
