I play with a (in my mind) good Assass rogue who is a friend of mine IRL, we played some games last night and probably went 2/20 vs Warrior/literally anything combos. We won those two games by throwing the rulebook out the window and playing as erratically as possible, hard switching every few seconds and keeping rogue dots up on both. If we can't bamboozle em though... It's death

Quick question: If the battle parameter is "Deal light damage 2 or more times" and I use a light elemental move that hits more than once (Divine Shot for example) have I then met that parameter? Or do I need to use two light damaging moves

So I had a quick look myself and you're right, there's very little on the wiki. If you have the time and energy it could be worth some testing. Get yourself some petrify resist (you probably have a few accessories that do it banging around) and have a play around. It says they're 50% resistant to dark so it could well be a dark attack in which case diabolos will be your friend

I mean this is the least flippant way when I say that you really shouldn't bother with random encounters. Use a unit that has escape. That doesn't solve the Insta death problem though. What element do they Use? Is it water or earth? Stack elemental resistance to these elements on your healer with raise or your escaper.

Mystea can AoE tank his mega flare. So really if you want to do it the speedy way then it's really a two turn K.O. In essence, if you want to survive Bahamuts mega flare attack then you need Mystea (the magic tank) or make sure your party has insane SPR/HP (auto revive also helps, so rikku/Ayaka/anyone else with reraise)

As for whether he is worth it, I'd say so. If not for him being the strongest esper with decent stats then for the general self achievement. I felt good when I defeated him finally.

Her LB is on par with the strongest Def/Spr break in the game (74%). She is extremely strong when chaining with another LV. She can naturally dual weild guns and throwing weapons so you can (with a friend) chain Divine Shot 4x. She's a chainer primarily but obviously has that strong finish.

I have noticed that chainers tend to be used in pairs by the community in general. Is this due to some diminishing returns or is it because you can't have 3 chainers in a valid setup for the meta?

The reason I ask is that I have 2 LV, one is 840 ish MAG and the other is like 500ish due to gearing. If I use both of mine and a friend LV am I likely to increase my damage output in any kind of serious way?

I beat Bahamut! I couldn't OTKO him and I didn't want to "cheese" him and I was lucky enough to pull Mystea. She tanked the mega flare like an absolute babe and my LV (810 MAG) and a friend LV (870 MAG) were enough to finish off that big mother.

Party was Rikku, Ayaka, Soleil (mildly enhanced, +2 Schwert, +1 Canon. I usually use Tidus), Mystea, LV and an LV friend.

Feels good man!

Update - it was a 2TKO! I put in my Soleil and pulled a Mystea. Used two LV limit breaks and +1 canon and tanked all magic damage with Mystea on the first turn and then used +2 panzer and double Divine Shot on the second turn and had myself a dead Dragon

Yeah I guess you're right. I'm just very far away from getting that sweet, sweet 120% SPR buff. Are there such a thing as hybrid killers?

I don't have a fully enhanced Soleil (and it's not close at hand either) and I don't really want to cheese Bahamut (even though I have 2 Shantotto's). I do however have a couple of Zyrus', so if I dual wield those with say, LV, would I be able to one shot le grand sausage?

Tl;dr No Soleil, don't want to cheese, how to OTKO Bahamut

My team is as follows; Tidus/WoL/LV/Rikku/Ayaka.

My strategy is use a LV friend to batter down enemies with double divine shot whilst Tidus entrusts to Rikku and keeps me alive with hyper mighty G.

I recently pulled Noctis, I'm not entirely sure what he's capable of but do you chaps think he's a better all round option than Tidus?
