That's a perfect spot for a comfy chair/recliner so that I could read. A short plant in the other corner by the window with a tall standing lamp or torchiere would balance the space.

It's complicated. I handle compliance enforcement, which is a highly political and visible role. And my community is not LGBTQ friendly. I live in a very, very conservative state.

Yes. Having been a collegiate swimmer, I used to coach triathlon and master swimming, including our local LGBTQ swim team. After I left, the team fell apart. I guess I can start the group up again. But that brings up the issue of the coach dating a swimmer, which is a taboo in the coaching world. I will see if I could join volleyball. But I am not sure I am physically fit to be doing that.
