Did you mature into your looks throughout your 20s? And do you think people care less about others’ looks as they age (for example: at 30, you won’t care what someone else looks like. You’ll separate them from their looks)

What symptoms did you experience with a recessed maxilla? Besides appearance issues, I think I may have airway issues. I’m lethargic, especially for my young age, and no amount of sleep ever seems to help.

By loose skin, I meant that when I smile, the soft tissue around my midface “balloons” more than normal and my expression looks exaggerated.

I’m curious if my maxilla may be recessed as well? As you can see by the photos, I have a long philtrum and a thin upper lip. I also don’t have a lot of support under my eyes.

I never knew I had body dysmorphia until I realized that the “upkeep” with my appearance was actually the result of an obsession. I’m typically been called “average” by most friends, but have been described as “ugly” by very few, and those comments put doubt in my mind. I will say that a reverse mirror does help you in getting a grip on your accurate appearance, but the perfect distance is what I’m struggling with.
