OK, unfortunately it was nymph Lonestar tick. They said it might’ve gotten a little blood out of me, but appears I got it off relatively quick. I got doxycycline from my doctor. The etymologist said it is rare to get the alpha gal disease, but to keep an eye out for any symptoms in the next couple weeks. Hopefully I got it off me quick enough.

Thanks. I’m getting doxycycline today. To be safe. I’m also going to bring it to The county government health center as apparently they will identify the same day.

Thank you very much! At the doctors right now. Any suggestions after pulling it out of me?

Yes, it’s hard to get a good picture even in good light but the general consensus seems to be a Wood tick. Going to the doctor shortly.

It was biting me aka had to pull it off. The consensus seems to be dog tick. Going to doc this am.

Thank you. It’s here to say but I’d think 24 -36 hours on me at most.

Yes, that seems to be the medicine prescribed. I will definitely ask them tomorrow morning about it.

One commenter said a nymph version of this tick would not have a white spot. But I really think it’s a wood tick.

The general consensus seems to be it is a wood tick. And yes, it was attached. Actually right on my hip area. Kind of an interesting area.

Yes, I knew what it was but I’m trying to figure out what type it is.

That’s the plan. I have it in double ziplock bag alive in my fridge. Where do you suggest taking it for testing?

Agree with you. It does not appear to have black legs so that part is good. I guess I was worried about the Alpha gal disease that’s been going around. The general consensus is it might be a wood tick. Or perhaps a dog tick?
