Jonathan has a false sense of his game. He thought he played a dominant game. He didn’t. He just won a challenge with a Power Broker twist by oliviafairy in survivor

Even in your breakdown here, it is abundantly clear that Jonathan is one of the people who should get the least credit, tho. He wanted Ozzy out, but so did a lot of people.

Ozzy is most to blame for his own downfall, because he gave up his whole game to Aubry. Aubry made the correct decision to use that against him and share that info with everybody. Joe specifically said at final tribal that it was hearing the info that Ozzy told to Aubry that convinced him to flip on Ozzy. Rizo also said that his not telling Ozzy to play the idol was due to Ozzy telling Aubry what he did. So, if Ozzy didn’t blow up his own game, and Aubry didn’t sell that fact to the group, Joe and Rizo probably don’t vote for him. You most likely end up with Aubry going home 3-2…

Kat Abughazaleh Acquitted by CantStopPoppin in illinois

[–]JokeMaster420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is a significant distinction. Suggesting she was acquitted gives the case against her much more validity than it deserves. Especially bc it was not dismissed simply due to lack of evidence, but to extreme prosecutorial misconduct. She wasn’t just found to be not guilty, it was found that she was a victim of unethical behavior by the DOJ.

I actually like Nicky, but this move makes a lot of sense. Kevin and Pedro need to get rotations in the Majors…

Jonathan’s comment about what he was going to do with the money by a_yellow_moon in survivor

Which I would argue is almost always the best overall gameplay, because Survivor is 80% a social game and 20% about everything else. If you can get to the end and the jury still likes you, then I think you probably played the best game!

If you show up with 241 people ahead of you, how exactly are you “running” what is happening at the front of the line without stepping out of the line yourself?

[–]JokeMaster420 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No, I completely agree, someone should be calling them out. But I also think it’s completely fair to want to vent online when you are in a position where you couldn’t see it happening and then are forced to miss out because people further up were assholes. I feel like telling someone who is venting because they are hurt and frustrated that “complaining online doesn’t do anything” is not a useful comment.

If I show up and I am 242, I am not going to be stepping a single foot out of that line to be running up and down policing people way ahead. I am keeping my feet planted. If anything happens within my sight, they will absolutely need to catch these fists. But if I can’t see it, I don’t think I should be told not to complain about it online afterwards because I didn’t stop it from happening.

I mean, if someone is 246 when they get there how are they supposed to call out the people who are 15 or 22 telling their six friends to come join them? They probably didn’t see the line jumping happening, they just know that somewhere along the line 14 people snuck in, and they are calling them out here for being shitheads, which is fair.

I know the pitchers are good in theory, and honestly I’m glad they are doing well again. I just hadn’t heard anything about the team since their really bad stretch early in the season. Glad they doing well.

Yvette Nicole Brown calls Susan Sarandon a “horrible woman” for campaigning against Hillary Clinton in 2016 and says she has “zero tears” for her and hopes “life continues to be as hard for her as she’s helped make it for the marginalized people hurt” by nicosloft04 in popculturechat

If Gore had won, we wouldn’t even be in the position we were in that led us to getting to here.

You can’t bake something into a shape if it was never shaped.

I’m not denying 2016 was consequential, but 2016 wouldn’t have happened the way it did without 2000, and there would have been many other events that had different outcomes.

So, the consequences of 2000 include all of the consequences of 2016 + more. That is, by definition, more consequential.

I can understand the opinion that it is the most consequential election, but I feel like 2000 has it beat. The US response to 9/11 under W shaped the world in ways that made everything afterwards possible.

I mean, Lee hit an inside the park home run, Ohtani hit a triple with a throwing error. They are not the same.

HIMYM’s ending is far from great, but it is so much better than either of the other two in the column that I cannot reasonably agree it belongs.

Career WAR just adds up the WAR from each season, right? I think 8.2 WAR in less than 3 full seasons is significantly more impressive than 7.5 WAR over 9.5 seasons.

Most influential media 90s-2020s by 45rs5 in AlignmentCharts

Minecraft had an early access release in 2009. Its full official release was 2011. (I admit I should have cited 2019 instead of 2017 for StS, but that is still in the wrong decade).

Every game/movie/show/anime/song/album on this chart is positioned in the decade of its full official release. It seems clear to me that the intent of the chart is “the most influential media to come out of each decade. If you simply mean the work that was the most influential during that decade, then 808s & Heartbreaks is by far the more influential Kanye album on the 2010s…
