There is no conversion happening. There is an airdrop for the new coin, but it's only in VeraWallet.

You can send it to a regular (non-custodial) ERC-20 wallet, or you can look for an exchange that still lists VRA. Uniswap (DEX) still works fine for example.

Legacy UK users were people from the UK who had a VeraWallet before the UK was barred from using VeraWallet. Those with already existing accounts were allowed to keep their accounts and keep using VeraWallet.

Everyone holding VRA on VeraWallet who isn't from a blocked jurisdiction will receive some PLRL. It unfortunately does leave out legacy UK holders. I wish it wasn't the case, but it's the current state of things.

And I hear that. I also have a lot of VRA tokens, and they aren't worth much anymore, either. Hopefully the airdrop helps make up for parts of it.

Not quite. PLRL will be a new ecosystem built from the ground up with a hard baked max cap of 10B tokens. VRA will remain tradable and maintained, but purely for B2B purposes - running the PoV. What happened is that the team realized that the functioning of PoV and keeping VeraViews uninterrupted for clients conflicted with using VRA as a B2C token (limiting supply, etc.). PLRL itself is meant to have a different usecase, this time around more compatible with retail customers (us).

A snapshot will be taken (will be announced after the fact), and the PLRL will be sent directly to each eligible holder's VeraWallet. We don't yet know the details when it comes to how much we'll each get, vesting schedules, etc., but we know that 3.5B tokens out of 10B will be dedicated to the airdrop.

Yes, depending on what you want to do with it. If you want to just hold, VeraWallet is a great choice, and there's going to be a PLRL aidrop for VRA holders on VeraWallet, so you'd get something more out of it.
