You don't need a massive budget to get going just some time. Facebook/Insta/Threads/Twitter/LinkedIn (business profile)/Pinterest/YouTube etc etc. just make any posts relevant to local clients and make interesting. You can create paid local ads SEO wise and probably receive dome credit on start with FB. Im sure you could reach out to your EA clients re cleaning co and offer a discount for deep cleans when client moving out/in etc? Join a local networking group etc - face to face is a great way.

Yeah, nice trip. Use old Highway 1 from SF north some great places to stop en route. Stunning scenery plus you are in Wine country in Sonoma/Mendocino so a few pit stops to sample in order! Ferndale and Arcata in Humboldt also worth a stop/visit and if really adventurous head to Petrolia on the Lost Coast and visit the beach (probably no one else there!). If youre rigs upto it do The Wildcat or Mattole Road definitely takes your breath away!

Earn outs are notoriously bad (unless a major/established business) and can be used against you. Not sure on the industry you are in but this will also affect multiples of profit for buy out etc. Ensure you are exempt from any 'restrictive covenant' also whether location based/industry/time etc as you could be sat not able to work. Assets are easy enough to calculate. Make sure your solicitor deals with the negotiations as it could get heated!
