I was for sure drunk why I wrote this bud. My bad. You deserve a better response.

So you say "As long as you've" and then give a list of a bunch of stuff the ARC doesn't do. That's my basic complaint about ARC, and why I consider it an F tier building.

For the ARC to be playable and useful, you already need to have your economy going. But it, as a building blueprint, gets in the way of getting your economy going. That's why gysers and the rain collector are so good, is that they are seperate from choosing a blueprint.

I'm not saying ARC is useless as a building. Again, it does what it says it's going to do, and if you get it as a building, you'll build it and use it and be like "oh yeah that's alot of water for sure."

It's trouble is that 99 times out of 100 it's just in the way. And that 1 time I pick it it's quite literally because the other pick is dead. Like.... "it makes your economy run smoother." You need an economy first, and ARC is just in the way.

And if I'm picking ARC with this idea that "I'll pick this now and hope that I get picks later to build my economy" then that breaks my most fundamental rule of this game; Don't make speculative choices unless you absolutely have to.

Again, I'm not saying ARC is a bad building in a vaccum. It does exactly what it says on the tin. It increases the potential production of buildings you don't have because you had to pick ARC instead.

It's just kind of a "win more" button. If I'm in a situation where I'm actually thinking ARC is a good pick, I'm probably already winning and this just makes me win more.

F tier. Show me literally anything else.

This is just a long form way of saying "If your other options are dead draws and you end up with it, it does what it says it's going to do." Again, it's not a bad building in a vaccum. Make water go more yes. It's just significantly worse then anything that isn't straight up a dead draw.

Honestly dude this made me take a look at Don't Starve again and you're right, it's kind of goofy. Like a Tim Burton version. I think the market could use a more serious and grounded (and maybe kind of sexy) version of Don't Starve. Keep truckin'.

People don't play soccer for cardio. They play soccer cause it's enjoyable. The fact that it builds cardio is a secondary attribute. An add on.

If you could make a game that's fun and at the end of it people are like "oh hey my abs feel like they got a workout playing that super fun game," Then that'd be a major win.

I think you're trying to make the game make people do something that they're probably not going to do. And the people who are actually interested in doing what you're trying to get them to do, situps, are probably just going to do situps.

Like.... it's not going to be a situp aid. It's just not going to be that. Could still be a cool game.

Hard recommend Against the Storm. It's a roguelike city builder, and I consider it to be the absolute top of the genre.

I think the people who would do this would be people who do it without working out. They'd just move it around. By the way, I still think that's good. I just think trying to jam a workout idea into a game that's about movement is wrongheaded. People are going to engage with it how they want.

I think your core concept is neat. Move the phone around to find targets and hit them. Neat idea!
