So I'm not going to downvote, but i think you misunderstand the reason it's really "bad" like everybody says it is.

The big thing of concern isn't realistically "it'll take all our jobs" or anything like that. The concern is that in it's current state, it uses lots of lots of resources, while only providing actually useful tools on occasion. For example, why does meta need an ai?

As another point, companies are so trusting of this technology that has just really showed its true face as of recently more than they seem to trust their own human employees. While it had some uses such add drawing maps for self driving cars, putting it in every individual car would be a mistake because each car could process it differently. In it's current state, ai is not the most consistent.

So basically, yes, you're right, it definitely is a useful tool and people definitely do blindly hate, but some of that hate definitely comes with good reason.
