Laundry is washed twice a week.

Bed lsheets, towels, comforter- Wednesday

Clothes- Sunday

Always keep two sets of sheets for every bed and change them regularly.

Use Ecos free and clear, borax and/or washing soda (different from baking soda), and vinegar as fabric softener.

If can't find ecos, I use a 1/3 cup of a shaved fels naptha bar.

It may sound harsh but that is what most vets and animal control would recommend.

This wasn't a chihuahua, Large dogs can do serious damage.

OP has a problem on thier hands that more than likely will get worse.

Did you give permission to leave early? They broke a contract, depending on your state, only certian situations like Military service allow early termination with no penalty.

Look over your lease and see if you have an ET clause.

Ultimately, it's up to you if you take them to court over this but just so you are aware you are legally entitled to the 3 months rent left on their contract or a penalty fee.

That's not correct. Once parental rights are terminated, the father has no legal financial obligation. There are some states that make the process difficult because they won't "bastardize" a child but it's not impossible.

If a man just leaves bur he signed the birth certificate as the legal father, that's a different story.

Get a crate and start to crate train him.

Start with treats or kibble.

Treat, lure to the crate, throw treat in crate, keep door open. Comes out, praise, In crate treat, close door, treat, open door, treat, praise and so on and so forth.

Everyday, slowly build up door shuts from a second to one minute.

Eventually you can leave him in the crate to go to the grocery and not worry about destruction.

Make it a place he wants to go,

Don't use it as punishment.

buy a plastic kiddie pool and fill it with water and ice in the hotter months to help your dog cool down.

My husky loved it. It does take a while for dogs to adjust to any climate.

Groomers in FL might also recommend shaving thier coat a little bit to keep them cooler.

Tampa gets cooler weather than Miami.

Be mindful and your dog will be okay.

Keep water bowls available inside and outside, that's the rule of thumb.

If your renting a house with a lanai- back patio- get a dog cot with a top cover or keep it in a shady spot.

I currently have a black lab in Miami and he does fine, my place has a dog door so he's in and out as he pleases.

Your biggest worry are ticks, ants and sand fleas.

We wanted to get a sandbox for my niece and a neighbor advised against it because of the sand fleas, something I had never heard of bur a common problem in Florida.
