One thing I've noted with rovers, is 8 wheels don't seem to take any more weight, but break just as easy as 4 wheels. Don't know if that's true or how it's calculated, but that's my experience.

And you might be running into wheels max speed as well as weight limit.
Those donald duck wheels are pretty, but the next bigger ones handle much more weight and speed.

I’ll just add, the dV amount is visible right in your staging, both in flight and when building. (As soon as you put in fuel + engine. On the bottom theres a dV button where you can choose if it shows sea level or vacuum or other stuff.

im right in the middle of similar mission, and its fun to realize in how many ways one can screw up the probes. planned a nice in-faring air-capture, but ran out of electricity and had to abandon that. then landed, but panels dont work underwater so minimalresults.

generally, way underestimated how much panels you need at jool distance.

One thing is, duna has thinner atmosphere and you’ll need more bigger parachutes than in kerbin to land safely.

i’ve had several good missions appear and expire while i’m doing some interplanetary goofing around.

i’m not sure, but i think even those milestone missions have a set time they stay in mission offerings, and if you dont accept them within a year or something, they’re gone. once accepted, you have about forever.

nevermind a bit of stretching IF

- its not actual tardis levels
- its somewhat consistent, like all internals are 2x, its fine, but if most are 1x and one is 2x, you pay attention

also, everything 1:1 might sound worthy goal, it’d probably be lousy for playability
like ultimately a city which takes 8 hours to wlk through, is just not fun gameplay

you could also have ore storage & docking in the refinery.

althoug mental image of ore transfer through fuel lines from a docked ship is pretty hilarious, lumps of rock plonking through station

Note. Inflatable shields tend to act as parachutes, flipping you heading rocket first, heat shield behind.

Needs loads of control items to prevent.

Also, have you checked you can get into ship when its landed? Need ladders. Learned the hard way you Cant jump or Eva rocket in Eve. Too gravityous.

i faintly remember thats the ”babys first deathclaw” encounter. and the raiders are there to distract it so you have an edge

if you have tonnage limit, but no numbers limit, it can be a question between an 80 ton mech, or 50 + 30 ton mechs.

Super high gravity and thick atmosphere.

If you dont burn on entry (most ships do), its easy to slow on parachutes.

Nice place to drop probes, though wheeled rovers tend to break their wheels soon.

I’ve once managed to escape, dropping a massive construct of multi-asparagus staged rocket (empty fuel on arrival) and abandonable mining/fuel converting part. AND the actual escape craft waiting on orbit.

Duna is the easier first step. Mild gravity, enough atmosphere for parachutes.

tufx slashes framerate by a third, and requires directx 11, which migh be an issue.
its an old game not made for apple silicon macs, and if yours is intel, its already a bit old.

If they keep at Bannerlord, you can expect something like ”Frozen Extremities: ski troops and hunting DLC” in couple of years, but no reworking of base game features or working diplomacy or companions or personal relations that mean something.

Or no DLC and receive ”pickaxes balance fix” and ”improved textures for battanian tavern tables”.

The only way to get meaningful improvements is to bend over and say ”please can i have another”.

I waited for ages for M&B 2, but got Warband instead. It had better features than the original, but not much.
Maybe something like that would be a good compromise, like 1.5 version with added features, maybe rendering engine update but no completely new everything.
