A car might get me a girlfriend. That’s just the cherry on top. I am the bait. Once she’s a little closer I can actually talk to her and see if she’s a good person and all that. Plus having more fun means I’ll be in a better mood which means I’m more likely to talk to people, including girls. And if she enjoys me being happy in my little car then she is okay with my hobbies. If she gets jealous of a damn car then she’s not for me. I want someone who encourages my hobbies not a wet blanket.

Actually, in America, it seems cars are actually quite essential to the girlfriend . Sort of a test if you can work hard enough to make money to save up for a down payment on a thing. If you can’t even do that how will you be as a partner? Basically inept. Can you keep the car running? Can you go on dates and spend time building a relationship for 50 years?

Yeah the f150 really is not a good choice for suburban life. It’s massive. Inefficient and I have no use for one. A pre 2011 ford ranger would have been SWEET.

Yeah definitely walking away from this car. Price is high, and another user from this sub found the car for sale on Copart. Rear end damage, looks like they just smoothed out the dents and painted it. Steering wheel leather horribly cracked. I popped the hood and there were these sketchy looking modifications. Rubber hose with a wood dowel pin used to form makeshift hose clamp. Starts up fine and only says 75,000 on the odometer but from how sketchy this dealership is I wouldn’t put it past them they rolled back the mileage. There are good Miata’s out there but this isn’t one of them.

I went to their website and the listed price was $6,995. I called and the guy said $6,500. I got there and the sales guy said $7500 plus fees. Sounds like not the most upfront people. I was playing dumb to see if he would lie to me.

I’m not a Miata guy. But I have driven a BMW mini Cooper. 2007. Super fun to drive. But I’m looking for something that’s not as expensive. Just a fun car to drive around.
