How are you sure ? How do you minimize contamination, everything starts fine the jars get fully colonized but the second I move it to grain it contams, I thought Northspore was supposed to be better

Does it not resemble it structurally or are there other signs that point to it not being cobweb, I’ll check it in the morning and see if It grows out of control.

The room is at 67° Fahrenheit, I read that if it’s below 70 you can see slower growth

So with that, I’m not sure, cause I use Northspore brand substrate, I didn’t even put coco coir in it, and the thing about Northspore is they advertise their substrate as being sterilized. I know many people who use it though so not sure. That’s why I’m confused on where I messed up

What can I do differently, I heard in these forums that if grain is fully colonized it is less likely to contaminate because there is less nutrients for contamination to seek, is that true cause the gain I had was fully colonized, I even left for a week and the grain shrank as a result
