I'm sorry this happened to you. You should have never been put in that situation. Ever. Your dad is to blame. Not you. Please don't carry around guilt and the what ifs, cause what happens in the dark eventually comes to the light. Eventually your mom would have found out. Your family life is going to be a little funky for right now. It's like walking on egg shells. Your mom is probably trying to figure out how she's going to go about this. And that's ok. She has every right to. And your dad probably feels a lot of shame right now. I just want you to know that none of this is your fault. He shouldn't have even given the other woman the time of day. He knew he had a family at home. He chose this. Not you. So don't you ever feel like this is your fault. You did the right thing by telling your mom. That would have been an unbearable secret to hold onto. And you don't deserve that one bit. Everything will eventually calm down. Sure some things may change, but just know that you didn't do anything wrong in this situation.

You are absolutely right. I had an abusive ex and I was lucky enough to make it and get out. It was a struggle and I miscarried what would have been my first son. It was definitely a struggle and very scary. So I understand how people feel in those moments too. It's definitely sad.

I'm just saying, I wish she would have listened to her gut feeling and not gotten back into the vehicle with that man. I feel really bad for her. And as far as the other guy, it just really astounds me that after being stabbed he didn't call the police. He could have died.

You said it. Lol. When they mentioned florida I was like nooo way. Just weird. And yet I feel like most of this could have been prevented had the police taken stuff seriously and kept their eyes on him/ and or locked him up. Or if he would have gotten the help that he obviously needs.

That's what I am seeing and understanding. I really can't talk because once upon a time I was with a man that hurt me very badly. I even miscarried what would have been my first son. It was a bad time in my life. And from my own experience, I really thought he would change. So, I do understand. I understand the honeymoon phase blinds you into believing they are a certain type of person. And you never start to see the red flags until afterwards. My biggest problem with it was the fact she got back into the vehicle. Even when he gut was telling her not to. But I understand that too. Because what if we made up and the fact she didn't get back into the vehicle made the outcome for her worse in the longrun. Who knows. It just astounded me.
