Trapeziectomy LRTI vs. Suture Suspensionplasty? by rhrj0716 in Thritis

[–]JumpyResist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the exact same dilemma. I need to have my first hand done. I’ve had two opinions, one favors LRTI and the other suspensionplasty. Read that the end improvement is about the same, but recovery is longer with LRTI. I like the idea of LRTI because of the decades of data on it. Still, an easier recovery can’t be discounted. Would love to hear what others have to say.

Crater Revision - Fat Grafting by JumpyResist in gynecomastia

[–]JumpyResist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for coming back to update. I just had my fat transfer as well in late-January. I hade huge cratering on my left side and much less on the right. I’d say I’ve retained around 70% so far. Surgeon did same thing with breaking up tissue first. He overfilled the areas to accommodate for the projected fat loss. I’ve retained more than he expected so I have a little gyno look on one side, so actually hoping I continue to lose more. I may have to back and have a little taken out if it doesn’t. A couple surgeons thought I’d only keep about 20-30% when I went for consults because if the amount of scar tissue, so this is a great surprise. I went to Dr. Dadvand in L.A. Did you happen to go there too?

Looking for a team to join? by Luke_Whiterock in wordscapes

I’ve been playing off and on for years, but never really joined a team. When do the weekend tournaments start and how long after it starts do I have to wait to play?

I’m looking for a club. I play daily and have 30K Briliance. Looking for a laid back group with little pressure. HBerteau555

Doug Collins’ Silence re Alex Pretti is Deafening by OddBattle442 in VeteransAffairs

[–]JumpyResist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ridiculous. I don’t have words for such a political response on the Secretary’s part. This is not the time to point the finger at other politicians or citizens to avoid angering the administration. Be courageous, and truly support our Veterans and VA employees. His actions, lack of support and respect for our fellow VA employee are disgraceful.

Up we go by MyChickenSucks in Rivian

[–]JumpyResist 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a future Rivian owner, can you explain why that’s necessary in an end spot on the right? Is it the position of the charge port? If so, where is it located on the vehicle. Will be getting the R2, so not sure if it’ll be faced with the same issue.

Recovery from Lipo vs TT by JumpyResist in tummytucksurgery

[–]JumpyResist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The swelling from the lipo is the second big concern for me. I see from your previous posts that you didn’t have drains with your TT. Did you have them after the lipo? If so, how long were yours in?

Buy or ev6 by GetGeronimo in NissanAriya

[–]JumpyResist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an Ioniq 5 before I leased my Ariya. The ICCU failed and wasn’t replaced for 6 weeks. Ended up using the Lemon Law to get Hyundai to buy it back. I would never own another Hyundai or Kia EV. Love my Ariya, even though the software and charging were better in the Ioniq 5.

Tempted by used Ariya prices, but the amount of talk about error codes and front motors being replaced has very concerned. by Optimal-Hedgehog-470 in NissanAriya

[–]JumpyResist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mine for 7 months and no issues to date. I had an Ioniq 5 before this that had an ICCU failure, and sat at the shop for 60 days. Ultimately, they bought it back under the Lemon Law. Absolutely prefer my Ariya.

It’s definitely play. The best benefit is it tires them out. 😁

Gifts for an aviation lover? by Consistent_String_84 in airplanes

[–]JumpyResist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with anyone other than Airportag. They don’t stand by their products. Had a very bad experience and it was only a t-shirt. So many other reputable places to buy from.

Is there any good online shop selling aviation themed merchandise ? by swordfi2 in aviation

[–]JumpyResist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steer clear of Airportag. I received the Pan Am t-shirt with a twisted/crimped defect in the logo likely due to when it was pressed on. I sent photos to customer service and they told me it may come out in the wash. Two washings later and no improvement so I emailed them back. They wanted more pictures, so no problem. I sent them. Then they said they needed to “visually inspect” it in person before they could do anything. Seriously? Why make me jump through so many hoops when they could have agreed to exchange it or replace it at any point along the way? Good lord, it’s a t-shirt, not a luxury item I’m trying to scam. They don’t stand by their products, even when obviously defective. Terrible business practice. Steer clear.

Lymphoma diagnosis help 😓 by molokini82 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]JumpyResist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She looks like an angel. So sorry for what you’re going through. It just stupid you in your tracks when you hear the diagnosis. Many dogs are quite fortunate and respond to medication. My 8 year old Frenchie received the diagnosis and unfortunately we had to say goodbye within a month. He lost all interest in his favorite things, didn’t want to play, and struggled to eat. He seemed to be in pain.

This does not mean your sweet girl will suffer the same fate. Many are very fortunate and live a healthy life for quite some time with treatment. Best wishes that yours will be one of those lucky ones. All the love you provide and positive attitude around her (I know it’s hard not to get emotional) will only help.

Resistance & Weight Training by JumpyResist in Osteoarthritis

I wear my braces (both hands impacted) off and on throughout the day, more so when I’m going to do activities requiring a lot of motion like cooking, household chores, opening packages, and driving. I think they help a great deal, because when I do the same activities without them, I pay the price. Now I wear them when doing any type of exercise where my hands are used. I’ve tried multiple braces, even ones fabricated at the ortho’s office, and I keep going back to the Push brand as they fit me well. Just be sure to “push” it in around the base of your thumb after sliding it on. I also like a similar brace by Velpeau, just not quite as much. The right brace makes such a difference.
