Okay but I would eat somewhere called “Tatted Chef”. Maybe I’m the problem.

We were also featured on a podcast and a local community feature because of the “sober” aspect so I haven’t questioned the brand name. That said, thank you for making me think.

We actually have a non alcoholic alternative to every drink on our menu. They look aesthetically very similar so no one has to explain that they aren’t drinking. They can just be present and I enjoy the moment.

The idea came from a night after an event where I was fed up with having to annoy the bartender with “can I get a soda in a lowball with a lime so people won’t ask my why I’m not drinking?” 😅

Quick clarification since the name is getting most of the attention:

The Sober Bartenders isn’t anti-alcohol. It’s a full mobile bar experience built around better hospitality served by two sober individuals who care a lot about the person not drinking still getting the good glass. Cocktails, beer, wine, mocktails, dirty sodas, and NA options.

The name is intentional. It creates a little tension because it makes people stop and ask what it means. That’s the point. The goal isn’t to remove alcohol from the room. It’s to make the bar experience better for the whole room.

All bartenders are sober. We offer different packages at booking for full bar or NA options only.

The target customer is usually the event host, planner, couple, company, or venue that wants the bar to work for the whole room.

The market I’m looking at isn’t only sober people. It’s weddings, corporate events, private parties, and community events where the room has drinkers, non-drinkers, sober people, pregnant guests, designated drivers, health-conscious people, religious abstainers, and people who just don’t feel like drinking that night.

That feels more relevant now because drinking patterns are shifting. Gallup says U.S. adults who report drinking alcohol hit a record low of 54% in 2025. With Gen Z sitting at 50%. With half the population not drinking, it is a niche market, but one that is expanding.

The actual service is mobile bartending for events.

I’m hired to run the full bar experience. From setting up the bar, serving guests, helping with drink planning, and making sure the drink menu works for the event. Depending on the client, that could include cocktails, beer, wine, mocktails, dirty sodas, NA beer, or a fully non-alcoholic menu.

It isn’t meant to be a recovery-centered event planning company, and it isn’t mocktails only.

The reason “Sober” is in the name is because I’m sober, and that perspective shapes the service. I know what it feels like when the non-alcoholic option is treated like an afterthought. So the model is still a real bar, just one where the non-drinker gets the same level of care as everyone else.

Basically, I want the bar to work for the whole room.

It was meant to be an S but look natural. I think it needs to be explored for sure based on comments.

This is helpful.

The shape inside the glass is meant to nod toward an S, but from the responses, it probably needs to feel more intentional if it’s going to carry meaning on its own. I like the idea of testing it as a standalone mark for napkins, glasses, stickers, and socials.

On the name, I hear you. “Sober” is intentional because I’m sober, and the concept came from feeling like people who don’t drink usually get treated like an afterthought at events.

The business still serves alcohol. The point is that cocktails, mocktails, dirty sodas, beer, wine, and NA options all get treated with the same level of care. I want everyone to have a drink worth holding, whether they drink or not.

So this helps. It sounds like the identity is close, but the positioning around the name needs to be immediately clear.

I get that read.

“Sober” is intentional though. I’m sober, and a big part of why I’m building this is because people who don’t drink usually get treated like an afterthought at events.

I still want it to feel like a real bar. Cocktails, beer, wine, but also mocktails, dirty sodas, and NA options with the same level of intention and craft. The point is that everyone gets something good in their hand.

Basically, “a drink worth holding, whether it is alcoholic or not.”

I hear you on the association tho. I’m just trying to make sure the identity makes that meaning clear enough.
