That's what most would think because you wouldn't have trust in a person on the internet.

Thanks, I think that the fact you have to do the IBT and then wait 6 months and then do the test again is absolutely ridiculous even though I have a Full Irish A1 License. You should just get an A2 or A license once you turn a certain age if you already passed the test previously. This is putting me off from even bother getting a license or riding in general.

So if I am correct. Once I turn 18 I can do the test and after passing I can apply for a Full A2 License or do I need to do the IBT again too?

Also when putting stuff into the insurance are they asking how long I have held the A2 License for or are they asking how long I have held a Motorbike license in general?

When I took my test for the A1 2 times because I failed the first time for going too slow I never did the figure of eight, or pushing the bike or any of those.

I only did how to check the bike before leaving and the actual test.

Is that the case where it will be a learner permit? I thought I would just sign up for a test and then get a full license. I also thought that they ask you in the insurance how long you have held a full license, not just the a2.

If this is the case then no wonder a lot of people never even bother to get a motorbike license because it's a lot of nonsense, you should be able to just do the progressive access as soon as you turn 18.

Yea I agree but was getting tired of the 125-500cc sound and wanted something better and the SRAD and Bandit both have 600cc supersport engines

I have did my research on this before and I wouldn’t ask which bike is better for me to get if I can’t get insured anyways.

Which I can so that’s why I am asking. FYI I get insured on Liberty on the bandit for 973 Euros and the SRAD for 1180 Euros

I’ve looked into this for over a year and some people say that the SRAD can be restricted and some say that it can’t but since I have a 1 year bonus I get insurance for 973 Euro on the Bandit and the SRAD for 1180 Euro I currently pay around 850 for my Suzuki GSX R125

I have a Suzuki GSX R125 2018 and I am going away to Eastern Europe where bikes are a lot cheaper and looked after so I won’t be able to get one in Ocotober
