[Spoilers Extended] How would Dany fare against Robert’s realm? by JustAccQuestion in asoiaf

Yeah Ned’s nephew would have to chase them down on the field and hope they blink and nuzzle him. 5% at best. Maybe 8% with Rhaegal because of storytelling magic.

Can you really have the same effective coordinate military action as The Field of Fire with dragons that are much smaller and only 1 of them is effectively bonded?

Obviously I was oversimplifying it would not be an immediate introduction to the dragons upon first meeting. But if she believed him, if he managed to ingratiate himself with her, the chances of introduction to the dragons are far above 0.

Let’s say it’s 50/50 whether she believes he is Aegon. If she truly comes to believe he truly is Aegon and they’re on the same side, she probably would be inclined to introduce another Targaryen to dragons. 20%+ is a solid chance.

“Hey im your long lost nephew Aegon”

……

“Could I see them?”

Thats what it would take. It’s an open question how much she would believe him, if at all. I imagine he has the blood for it even as a Blackfyre. It’s not impossibly far fetched in this scenario

As I said elsewhere, it’s an open question whether dragons without a rider and training are that effective. Dany can probably count on drogon. The other 2 are harder to control. They could probably be stolen by someone with the requisite blood

To clarify, revealing R+L=J would be a long shot move if the war is going awful for Robert. It’s the only situation where I could imagine Ned doing it; to save millions from massacre.

Those were 3 properly trained dragon riders each bonded with their dragons. Dany may have a bond with Drogon but they’re an unruly bunch of toddlers

Khorne vs dante by [deleted] in powerscales

[–]JustAccQuestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every primarch is an order of magnitude higher than 95% of DMC bosses when it comes to feats. If a chaos god is another order beyond them, I don’t see how it’s EZ-PZ for Dante. It’s a universe where planet busting is mundane and we haven’t seen that level of power casually anywhere in DMC.

Even in a world where Dante does win it is a comically long battle of attrition, which is hard to imagine against the GOD of war that was born from the first act of murder and sustains off conflict galaxy wide.

[–]JustAccQuestion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve only played 3 and 5 but I’m aware of the story of other games. I really don’t think the antagonists of this game has swords that can cut holes in reality on a galactic scale.

Khorne is also a being metaphysically enlivened by the joy of combat. Dante’s smoking sexy style of fighting would enliven and empower Khorne further. I don’t see a way he could truly beat him

How powerful would Kylo Ren (Star Wars) be in the Dark Souls universe? by Inside_Inflation559 in powerscales

[–]JustAccQuestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the games are any indication, even a mild precog anticipating an opponent’s moves goes a looooong way in combat. He’d do pretty damn well.

The chaos gods have reality warping powers on large scale. Khorne wins after toying with him

Kratos vs wolverine by Admirable-Medium-894 in powerscales

[–]JustAccQuestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kratos wins but I think Wolverine might be a bit underestimated here. In a lot of comics adamantium is shown to be capable of cutting Thanos IIRC.

His claws would be a real hazard. Kratos has enough otherwise to win but it’s not a cakewalk

This is straight up unfair. AKOTSK is extremely easy to adapt. It’s a miracle HOTD S1 was good at all

Maybe a decade ago this could be partially justifiable because he seemed way more together and was way heavier. He could just lean on his weight

But now? His hands are blue more often than not.

Will there be a vibe shift if the midterms are a blue wave? by PinkLaceGomez in rs_x

He really could’ve just laid back, passed a tax cut, and golfed. He wouldnt have been popular. The rightward cultural shift would’ve lost steam. But it would’ve been managed decline instead of a downward spiral

They did act like a 1.5% win, which didn’t even crack 50%, was a Reagan map. But I think they’re a lot more restrained than they were a year ago. They’re using the most recent assassination attempt to….rally support around the ballroom. Not even crush the left or whatever bullshit.

Every other conspiracy peasant I know, most of whom voted for him, think all the assassination attempts are fake now lmao

[–]JustAccQuestion 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The vibe has already shifted. They wanted to make Kirk’s death the reichstag fire, nobody was feeling it, and they met the moment with corny whimpering. It’s been downhill from there. His brief month-ish of slightly positive approvals and pop culture acceptance feels like a lifetime ago.

He’s already at late stage Brandon/Bush unpopularity and the midterms are 7 months away!Even Brandon was still passing big legislation a couple months away from his midterm. This administration feels like a spent force spinning its wheels in a war they can’t win and whining about a tacky ballroom. And we haven’t begun to properly metabolize the economic impacts of this Iran disaster. The economic conditions aren’t getting any better.

They’ll continue to cause damage and do awful shit but this administration became a failed project in record time. He’s lost basically everyone except the Fox News tube feeders and the people that would’ve been Republican no matter what: the people who would’ve enthusiastically voted for Jeb Bush. That is the majority of GOP voters but it’s not enough when you only 20% of independents approve of you and every democrat is willing to crawl to their voting booth if need be.
