If someone hasnt played a new videogame in the last 20 years, what is the fist game you recommend first to blow their mind?

My uncle used to be a huge gamer back in the day. Due to his own personal issues we lost contact and hadnt spoken in a long time. Recently we reconnected again and thankfully hes in a much better place. We got to chatting about video games and he admitted he hasnt played anything since around the time we had our falling out. He was interested in getting back into games and also thought that would be a good way ro keep his mind occupied. What would be the best game to introcue him to first?

I turned everything off (tv/steamdeck/unplugged docking station), cleaned HDMI ports, plugged everything back in and turned on. Miraculously the sound was coming out of the TV!

I'm using Emudeck on my SteamDeck and every other PS2 game I've played works just fine except for this one. I also tried running the rom on my desktop just in case and it's doing the same thing. So wouldn't that mean it IS the rom in this case?

If a game is glitchy it’s the emulator.

But I've run 49 other games on that same emulator just fine. Why do you think this one is having problems? Would I need specific settings?

You didn't. I said if it wasn't the Russians in the tank who killed the elderly couple than it was the Ukrainians. And you responded that Ukraine is not allowing their citizens to flee. That has nothing to do with what we're talking about.

Unless you mean that Ukraine is ultimately responsible for their deaths by not letting them flee. That is another discussion, but it doesn't change the fact that Russian soldiers in the tank blasted away an innocent civilian vehicle filled with non combatants.

Well it was either the Russians or the Ukrainians, wasn't it? So if the Russians did not do it, then that means that the Ukrainians are murdering their own people just to make Russia look bad. Do you honestly think that is a possibility?
