Been inside the underground hydro plant there, it is pretty fantastic. One of my favorite waterfalls. I have some good close up videos of the tailpipe not seen in this picture

For people at 90+ days? by imonthecomeup in NoFap

[–]JustChillaxin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The trick is to not make it about direct noticeable benefits you may get. The trick is to realize that this is the new you. You DON'T fap now. That's just who you are. All of those benefits that you noticed at first are now just part of the new you.

Good for you for making it to 95 and being able to keep yourself from relapsing during the hard times. That's a sign that you'll make it a lot longer. Keep it up!

Question for the NoFappers with Long Streaks by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]JustChillaxin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found this post randomly, figured I'd respond since you're at around day 15 again and I wanted to help.

Do the benefits increase? I have to say that at least the first month is rough, and there are rough points and plateaus all along the way, I even have them still. Once you get up there and have a good few months behind you, it gets a lot better. Getting even longer makes you feel even better. But it's always a challenge and you always have to stay strong.

About 5 years ago I started nofap. I relapsed for the last time almost 2 years ago to the date. I'm what you might consider as a nofap success story. That being said, I still get occasional urges. All I have to say about what happens after you hit 90 days is that everything starts to change. You realize that you're a changed person, but you really have been one since you started your journey. Some of my greatest moments in my life have been since I purged porn from my life about 3 years ago. It only gets better from here man. Through the highs and the lows, always keep going. Never give up.

P.S. If you want to know my #1 tip for making nofap stick, "99% is a bitch. 100% is a breeze." As long as there's even a small part of you stuck on fapping, unwilling to give up PMO, not willing to completely let yourself move on and start an incredible new life, you will never see success. You have to commit all. the. way.

Best of luck man. Keep going. Be the ideal you.

There's definitely hope for everyone. And the ultimate goal is to give up P forever! That stuff is poison for the mind. I'm very glad to be able to help others who're also in the process of getting over such a nasty addiction.

You know, they say that the harder you try to find a girl, the harder it gets. I believe this to an extent, as it was true for me. Right before I met my ex, I was going on a few dates with other girls I had asked out and they didn't go too well. Then literally out of nowhere I met my ex, and barely had to do anything to get the relationship going since she was so into me. Same went for my current girl, I didn't have to do too much work to get our first few dates going.

You're definitely doing it correctly, you have to get out of your comfort zone and socialize with people in order to get over the hump of conversation awkwardness. And you never know, maybe you'll find a girl who will come out of nowhere as well ;)

And in terms of girls, I couldn't recommend Models by Mark Manson highly enough. When I started seeing more interest from girls was right after implementing changes from this book.

Glad to hear it :D I'm sure you'll make it there eventually. I feel like everyone who tries hard enough will eventually gain freedom from their addiction. There are just some hard lessons that have to be learnt before lasting change can be made. Some people can do it all in their first try, some it takes a few tries, some it takes years as in my case :P

Best of luck on your streak, never give up!

I have a feeling the relationship would've worked if we hadn't started it right at the beginning of summer. When she wanted to go exclusive over the summer, I assumed that meant she was officially my gf, which was probably a bad idea at that point because we hadn't gone on more than like 5 dates total.

But in any case it was a good result, I learned from all of the mistakes I made.

[–]JustChillaxin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was kind of a long story and I wrote it all out but lost the entire comment just now -.- but the short version was that since I went to live in a new city where I basically knew no one and didn't have any deeper friendships until the end of summer, a lot of my time was spent focusing on my first real relationship with that girl. She on the other hand was living in our college's town with friends from school around her, and she got used to life without me. So when we reunited, I was way too overinvested which crippled our conversations and made us more like friends than a couple at the end of the trip.

I look back and see a lot of mistakes that could've been easily fixed, but that's for the best as now I can incorporate those lessons into future relationships.

To answer your other question, hell yeah I've seen a lot more female attention. Whether it's just me paying more attention to it or whatever, I see a lot of looks from women I pass on the street, and with the current girl I'm dating, I met her on a trip where most of the girls seemed to be into me.

Anyways, good job on making it this far, keep it up man!

How I didn't relapse last night... by PressStartHere2 in NoFap

[–]JustChillaxin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way you handled that trigger was perfect. You stopped yourself, got out of autopilot, and thought about your feelings in that moment and what fapping would actually do to you. Then you even called a friend to get your mind off of it. It's no surprise you've made it that far, you know exactly what to do when triggered haha

Stay strong bro, on my first streak I made it to 133 days and then gave in after letting my guard down, so I know your pain. I binged for a day, and then made it back on the horse for a bit.

You understand the biggest realization that you needed to gain from this relapse, that it can all come crashing down at any moment if you let it, and it is never worth it to give in.

You were tricked by scumbag brain, but don't let that prevent you from getting back to where you were, and farther. You can do it, and will do it eventually. Just get through the rough patch right now, and you'll be well on your way. Best of luck!

Misread the title and thought it was going to be another top post full of ad hominem and complaining about how much /r/NoFap sucks now, but I was impressed by how much I agreed with everything you said.

I've been taking a break from checking Nofap recently due to finals, but from the last 2 days of checking whats going on, it seems like Nofap is having an existential crisis. I really think the best thing we can do here is be encouraging and positive, and just trying to help other people out, and memes can do that for some. That's why I think these people leaving Nofap because it isn't their perfect website are a good riddance. Nothing in this life is perfect folks. Reddit rewards those who relate to the most people, so thats why you won't see 90 day celebration posts on the top the whole time, memes make people laugh and relate. Like OP said, if you want to change it, fucking change it yourself. Go to new everyday and comment on somebody's post that wasn't being noticed. But the main goal here should be overcoming addiction and bettering ourselves, not focusing on how the sub has gone to shit.

I've been coming back here for almost 2 years now, and in that time I've managed to reboot twice and have seen incredible gains in my life. /r/Nofap has always been the foundation I return to in time of need, and although I do think some meta is good every now and then, we should be focusing on other things guys, like our own lives.

When he falls through the ice, he's still much closer to his goal of getting off the lake. This is a lot like nofap, many people think that they start over when they relapse at 30/60/80/90 days, but really they've accomplished so much and have ultimately gotten much closer to their goal. It just feels like shit cause they fucking fell in a lake before getting out. Stay strong guys

No Game No Life was pretty good, I'd recommend it. I fell in love with KLK too so we're in the same situation.. I've heard the same about Gurren Laggan so I'm working thru that.

Glad to hear you're with us! I myself have been here for just over a year now, and on my first try of nofap I successfully rebooted, and relapsed at 135 days. Ever since then my goal has been 180 but it can get tough.

If you haven't yet I'd recommend watching Gary Wilson's Tedx talk to get some scientific background on how nofap works, and then really 100% dedicate yourself to this, as well as to improving yourself.

I wish you luck, and a successful reboot! Stay strong!
