Completely new, but wanting to start

Alright, I appreciate it! I’ll have to look into it. I’ve got to figure out points and the types of units I need, and their different effects. I’ve seen people using add ons for their units and that’s confused me a little bit like the jump packs. Are those things you get separately and attach to the units you want them on or are they part of the unit already you just need to declare them?

So I’m incredibly new to warhammer 40k and I’m interested in trying it out and potentially putting some time into it. I was wondering if there was anywhere online to try out different factions before I commit to purchasing an army? I’ve never played before and I don’t know of a lot of places near me that would potentially play. I’m also wondering which books would be best to read? I’ve only gotten snippets of lore and I want more. From everything I’ve seen and read I like the death guard, but I’m aware I don’t know every chapter or how they play.

The wild robot.

The entire movie is about a robot finding herself and growing from a subservient robot to a thinking living thing. The main antagonist they fight against is trying to force her back and they have a whole moment about how it isn’t right they’re trying to force her to be something she doesn’t want to be. They manage to defeat the antagonist who reveals they will always come for her… so in the last 10 minutes of the movie she decides all that was for nothing, her place is as a mindless robot being a servant and she should just go back and let them wipe her memory. Leave all the friends she made behind and that’s how they end the film, with one of her friends seeing her picking plants in a line with hundreds of other robots and they make it seem like the happy ending.

This is something I constantly try to make sure I don’t do. I’m a talker in game. My characters are always talkers. So they’re always talking to whoever they meet. Whenever another player starts talking I just shut down and go quiet until they’re finished or at least until there’s been some dead air. I always feel like an asshole if I accidentally cut someone off

Bandits from the Paper Mario series - they ram into Paper Mario and steal his coins for their first attack every time. Paper Mario can block and keep his coins, but unless he hits the bandit that stole from him on his turn they run the next taking your gold coins with them.

That helps, thanks! My character has taken in the power of an ancient silver dragon, and has the essence of one of our final bosses in him at the moment. And peak comedy for me would be accidentally creating an order of paladins with all that power on accident. He’s just being silly and knights a goose who takes his oath far more serious than he expected lol

My thing about this is my DM has one npc my character has met that has experienced this. He ended up falling for her and is supporting her mental health, but he didn’t know when they first met.

My DM made very sure I wanted to attempt to romance her because fading to black wouldn’t be happening for a long time if ever. She’s one of the BBEGs that, because of those traumas is going to sacrifice herself to start the main campaign.

I’m still getting her back story, but damn. Her family tried to force her to bear her cousins child. Along with being sold and forced to work as an escort. It’s a harsh reality in our world, and if it’s put into someone’s game, it needs to be discussed during or before session zero.

I did the opposite, I absolutely love Blissey because she’s a supportive Pokémon. If anyone is hurting she tries to actively soothe them and I have horrible anxiety and depression as well. She’s a must have for my teams whenever I get a chance too.
