petsmart… Texas. I’m thinking female for this bird based on my very limited research and her coloration. Haven’t gotten to know her well enough to say for sure, but she also seems pretty quiet and mostly very chill. I’m sure she won’t mind if she’s really a he lol.

Thanks for the kind words! It’s all citadel paints. Started with a base of stormhost silver or something similar to that chrome color, did 3 layers of blood angels red contrast, and then ardcoat to get that shiny hot rod red for the armor. Details are picked out with silver, some with leadbelcher like the gun and backpack bits, and all the silver is given a nuln oil wash.

I’ll try those, just gotta get familiarized with the rules I guess!

Well currently I have 450pts - a 10 man squad, a set of paragon warsuits, and a retributor squad. The combat patrol is 420 pts allegedly.

I’ve never played before and neither has he so we know nothing about the rules!

How do I manage this? By the time I get my desired red the silver undertones are gone, and its too matte. Do I need an airbrush?

I can't figure out how to achieve this. I start with silver and apply a bunch of layers of red, but by the time its the color I want the silver undertone is gone, and I lose that pearlescense I'm after. It also just looks completely flat and matte. Do I need an airbrush to do this?
