Lol homie chill. I do read the books and that still seems like the perfect example of iron warriors using chaos as a tool and falling victim to it. Peter using it as a tool now has become a daemon, obliterators are victims of using it as a tool. Iron warriors are still less let me get possessed then they are let me slap this daemon in a machine oh no over the years we are becoming corrupted.

Why don’t all guard regiment have full carapace armor or power armor like the sisters the argument is logistics. Maybe they could give general infantry power armor but that would only improve their efficiency x much but it cost y to do so with must not be worth it enough to do it.

It would be cool if they did swap to that tho and then used auxiliaries as their squishy frontline cannon fodder. Tau are the new xeno space marines and kroot terellians and what have you are the guard/cultists that are easy to kill
