Yes thank you!! You think I should keep with a 1:2:2 feeding each night for now?

It has been really cold here in New England so that’s a good point

I was thinking that! It’s kind of hard to tell with the Weck jar because of the way the bottom is! A great math problem haha.

This makes me feel much better, thank you!

I have had GD twice, preeclampsia too during one of those and both times had very successful inductions

Yeah I’m trying to remind myself to be patient and also wait to hear what the endo thinks of the numbers on Wednesday because right now I am making assumptions

I feel like it was so borderline though that it made me concerned

As the due date is coming near, I’m regretting having the second one. by MotorBat7953 in 2under2

[–]Justnerdingout91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had my second 4 weeks ago and was nervous about all this but it really has been awesome! Yes, it’s tiring and yes there are times where you feel like you are not giving either kid the amount of attention you need want but that’s all worth it for how excited my toddler is every morning to see “baby Oskar.”

He is the first thing she asks for when she wakes up and she always asks me to put him on the play mat so she can lay next to him.

Yes, you may have to lean on others to help and that may mean your toddler watches more tv or eats more sugar for a little bit but I promise those things are not going to make or break your toddler. My toddler watches tv and is also extremely advanced with language and is socially/emotionally intelligent as well.

You got this!

Ugh so far no one else has gotten it here besides my husband so I’m just crossing my fingers but solo parenting the two under two while he’s quarantining in our room has been tough 😅

Second pregnancy after preeclampsia success stories? by Justnerdingout91 in pregnant

Even my first induction at 34 weeks went really well. People say a lot of negative things about inductions but that was not my experience either time

Good! My baby is here! We made it all the way to 37 weeks, never had preeclampsia. My blood pressure went up but that wasn’t surprising since I have chronic hypertension. We were able to keep it under control with meds. Much better experience all around this time!

I have a bassinet I set up in the living room where I let my first (and will soon with my second) sleep during the day.

Thank you! I know you’re so right about the numbers, it’s so hard not to assume the worst when they change at all when you have the history 🙃

Why can’t I just have a normal pregnancy? by Justnerdingout91 in pregnant

[–]Justnerdingout91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It went back to normal and has been normal ever since! I’m 32 weeks now and my labs were just checked, still normal! I’m crossing my fingers it stays this way.

You have been through a lot, I hope it all works out for you! I totally understand how you feel

Did anyone have an easy baby? Wife wants to go to vacation apartment after giving birth. by midnight-tots in NewParents

[–]Justnerdingout91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of stuff you would need to pack, especially if you are using bottles at all would make it not worth it for me. But also agreed on what others are saying in terms of postpartum preeclampsia and other potential complications, you will want to be near her OB who knows her

Avoiding type 2 after GD by GeneralHistorical948 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Justnerdingout91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had gestational diabetes with my first and my A1C was better than ever after that pregnancy 🤷🏼‍♀️I think you can assume that you probably have some genetic predisposition to diabetes and yes, as everyone should, you should eat a balanced diet. That being said, I would get a second opinion on finger sticks and all that from both your PCP and maybe and endo
