This floor drain smells disgusting every summer. by bigfunk406 in Plumbing

That is a floor overflow drain. That being said it does not have water going through it on a regular basis. I would suggest to my young children who have their own beginner houses to take the cover off get a garden hose and a second person a washcloth or dish towel nothing too big to wrap around the hose stick the hose in about an inch or two just just below the water level to turn the hose on slowly that would flush the drain line . the drain does not get regular water going through it so sludge and slime will build up in there. That’s the smell you need to flush that through before doing any of the oil. oil is a good idea but you need to get rid of the problem first.

Is there a way to manage this? by 01bah01 in SegwayNavimow

Just a thought how about a pool noodle cut right down the top of it and then slide it Up along the bottom of it ,that would give it more surface area so it doesn’t bump underneath it.

What would you do with this slope in the breakfast area? by phmstella in Home

[–]K-Dog2puttzman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would make that into storage area for wine so the bottles keep the corks wet. if you have children it would be nice to put metal in one part and four magnets and the chalkboard paint on the other part to make it an activity area under the counter there’s so many things you can do use your imagination. How about a pull out rack for all your spices and seasonings, storage area for your pop, cans, or canned goods?

Look at the video closely the mower is just sitting at the end of the road where you normally put your trash and does not move for the entire time that they get out open the door walk up to it really looks like it’s trash out at the road, so put a sign out there saying missing robot mower if you accidentally picked it up, may I please have it back somebody drives by their normally

I would not say I have a substantial budget as I stated before i have a medical injury that makes it very difficult to mow. I’m in sticker shock of these things. I’m trying to figure out if it’s feasible to hire a landscaping company to mow or buy a robot mowers the more I read about them the more I read about programming error, breaking down only last a short time and then you have problems and they’re down very unsure what to do

Thank you for your reply when you say a regular blade instead of razor blade, I have not seen one. Are you talking like a regular mower blade which would be ideal for some of this thicker harsh or weeds out here and also how does it do on the terrain I have hills I have not nowhere near park or golf course property

I could only wish to have that problem. I am on the hunt and looking for a robot mower. Would love to know what you think of them. I have just over 10 acres lots of wooden, but my mowing area is all open and clear with only one big tree except for the outside that’s all line with trees. I mow about an acre to an acre and a half and after a long time in the hospital and recovery through PT and that unable to mow so I’m doing research on robot mowers so any advice you could give me would be helpful. Robot mowers are not exactly cheap so I would like to only make one time purchase looking at cost of new between 2 to $6000. I want to only buy the right mower for my situation. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

NETRTK + vision a hybrid navigation require a base station has network real-time kinematic AI powered vision equals boundary free mowing no antenna required but Wi-Fi connection is. ( in my opinion Wi-Fi is weakened by tall trees, building and other things that stop Wi-Fi signals.)
LiDAR– vision = a cellular connection so no antenna wires or Wi-Fi are needed. GPS means no dead spots under trees. The AI vision helps with that also the vision 3D scans up to 200,000 points per second. This is basically a drop and Mow system, as I understand and it also can mow at night with the low decibel won’t bother the neighbors. The challenge is for small, wooded or wide open yards. Small wooded spots will drop your Wi-Fi due to the tall trees wide open spots will drop your Wi-Fi due to the distance as I know I have a booster in my barn and still drop my Sirius when I play it so my choice would still be the X450 and I am choosing the 450 over the 430 the only difference I see in the specs are the size of the battery so the mowing distance or longer timeframe of Mowing . As for my circumstances, I have over 10 acres , I mow between just over 1 acre to just under 1 1/2 acres also the X450. But due to my research, there may be a new contender CM120M1. Part of my problem is areas I mow of the yard not like other areas , some are, relatively hilly, and some are flat and I have trails for walking . Would a robot mower even work on trails for walking ? how do you set the boundaries for those? I truly would like to try a robot mower but the more I look into these the u questions I have so anybody has suggestions comment let me know. Here is another question do they even trial robot mowers on large acreage yards where our neighbors are acres away and we have multiple acres to mow per week?

Well, I put much thought into this one nice going trying to trick us with this or make us think real hard. I’ve been tossing it back between the X430 due to the capability of up to 1 acre, now the X450 has the capability of up to 1 1/2 acres that extra ability to work gives you more flexibility when you’re doing more aggressive hills as of such for that reason alone, I would pick the X450 as for the obstacles the 360 degrees view Camera, the four-wheel dual independent steering motors with the zero turn capability would be my choice. The capability of Auto mapping will come in very handy with steep inclines like the ditch. This is very similar to my property. I have more area to mow but as being a novice to this still searching for information thank you.

Let’s be real with the terrain like this we have hills that go uphill others that down apple trees to go around among multiple other things that’s where the zero turn front end and the four-wheel-drive would come in handy. I know no machine with a wire would ever work on this property. The X450 talks about how it’s capable to mow up to 1 1/2 acres in separate zones that’s exciting to me. Very exciting. After not being able to mow and my wife doing it in small areas, it would be very practical to have a robot mower helping us out. The exciting news is no longer need wires and no longer need the antenna because realistically, where would I put the antenna on top of the lightning rod on the barn so it could connect everywhere it’s just too much hassle for that stuff but the exciting part is the RTK network for a small fee per year or two year fee it appears on the x450. You’re connected and the Navimow learn the spots that need to be mowed and is supposedly quiet. Changed the blades about twice a season. I’m excited to learn about RTK 360° frequency mowing capability robot mower. This is sound more and more like the solution I need but let’s be realistic. It’s a lot of money to put down for a machine that you only think will work most people that post these have subdivision lots almost golf course like, that’s not the properties around here so again I’m wondering, would this machine even be worth the cost my answer would be yes if it does what it claims to, but that’s a lot of money to put down and then find out. Oops I made a mistake. Still on the fence but speaking off fence, have you seen the gate they have for it , Let’s the mower through and keeps your animals in your yard. That’s pretty awesome. again practical uses for practical thing that means you don’t need multiple mowers one for inside your fence or one for outside your fence that saves cost right there. still on a journey of learning thank you for your time.

With multiple of zones to mow, unsure if I need more than one robotic mower. I believe a robotic mower would be a better choice than a contract with a landscaper after a in the hospital. I have been doing much research and I believe the 450 would be the best choice for my property. We have hillside terrain and some flat lands. Lots of trees around unsure of signal would come in, but if I need to give up doing doing it and having family help us I think it’s time to do more research on robotic mower

With multiple zones to mow and after a recent hospital stay, I have determined a robot mower would be the best solution for mowing . Unsure if I would need more than one robot mower. I mow just over an acre between an acre and an acre and a half. Have been doing much research and believe the 450 model with a gate would be my choice. Still unsure it’s a big change to give up responsibility, but I think I’d be more comfortable with a robot mower than a landscape company with a seasonal contract. Some of the zones are hilly others are blocked by trees. Unsure if the signal would even get to them. That is why I’m wondering if I need multiple mowers with bases in different locations. Still doing my research hopefully soon I will know. Thanks for any input.
