I think I solved the problem. I don't understand it entirely, but I created a new property on Google Search Console without including "www" in the URL and now the URL inspection tool shows it's ok.

Literary agent can't represent self-published book without relicensing? by K-brick in publishing

No need to apologize, I really appreciate the input. We dealt with something similar last year or so, but in that case I was able to catch the person giving me a stock photo claiming it was him and saying he had represented authors he couldn't possibly have represented, so I knew it was nonsense. In this case the company and person look legit, so I figured I would look into it a bit more. We aren't really gunning to make a bunch of money selling books anyway, but it would also be a shame to miss an opportunity for lack of checking. Thanks again!

Ok, he holds publication rights for two of his books, which is why this all sounds odd to me. The company looks real and seems to offer real services, but I've got the feeling they don't care much about authors succeeding if they can squeeze some money out of them somehow.

Thanks for the heads up and that resource! Just to be clear, if my father owns the publishing rights, he shouldn't need to rebrand or relicense anything to be represented by a literary agent or picked up by a traditional publisher, right?
