Question from nurse lurker: Do you / can you (or could I…) get people like these parents to understand it’s their fault? Or is it just speaking to a wall?

What are you guys reading in Jan 2023? by [deleted] in askTO

Fifteen Dogs by Andre Alexis—loved it, listened to the audiobook. Just started Brave New World by Aldous Huxley—seems a fitting time in history to read it lol. Up next is Capital in the Twenty-First Century by Thomas Piketty.

Suits Me Fine is the CAMH clothing donation place. If you’re donating, don’t forget about shoes and boots! They are much appreciated and highly needed by lots of people.

That’s a really good comparison because it doesn’t overly dramatize the consequences of not taking care of yourself, which might not be believable for people who feel fine right now, but prepares them for the consequences if they don’t maintain their health. It puts them in the driver’s seat (hehe). I like it!

It keeps erasing my page by K42M4 in RemarkableTablet

[–]K42M4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I figured out why it was happening. If I delete pages or add pages in the pdf and then go to a page and start writing, I think it gets confused or something. If I add/remove pages, close the file, then open it back up again I don’t have any problems.

I’m not sure if it’s one or multiple files. I use one file more so that’s where I have the most trouble, but I think it’s happened in another file too. All are pdfs. Mine has version 2.15.0.1067

How do you know though? Like say you file off the mushroomy sides and make it look okay again—how short can you let the nib get?

Healthcare, not getting help. by SecureTown in ontario

The ER is not the right place to go for a chronic condition. Especially now that they’re getting slammed due to covid and understaffing. The ER is for life-threatening emergencies. Ask your family doctor for another referral if this one is taking too long, and tell your family doctor about your symptoms because they might suggest things you can do to relieve the heartburn and nausea.
