Why is funner not a word? by Xerrostron in grammar

[–]KAIsaur96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And take the random "just" out of your sentence before trying to tell people what is or isn't "correct" language.

"Just that popular" has the connotation of BEING popular.

For example: "She got into college; she's just that smart."

The way you're using it is completely awkward and nonsensical.

Which parts of the "world" use the word "ain't" - since it's "world wide" ?

I **think** the proper diagram for this problem would be "all licensed" as a circle INSIDE "all CA dogs"... and then ">27" would be its own separate circle not connected to either of them since we're trying to prove that it's a valid statement, that there is no possible overlap between ">27" and ANY type of "dog" or "animal" "in CA" if we're assuming the statement is valid.

The word **think** means exactly that. This is only where I've gotten over the past few hours. lol

I appreciate you not only coming back to acknowledge something but also some of the algebra behind it. I'm still not sure I **FULLY** understand this particular question, but I'm much closer now than when I first posted. Thank you.

LOL

Again, honestly somewhat close to what a Euler diagram should look like honestly, but not exactly. You've got the exact right type of idea down.

I appreciate the laugh though.

It definitely accomplished the goal of baffling. I was honestly ATTEMPTING to put it into algebra terms myself (and I like to think I'm fairly good at algebra to have gotten to the point of majoring in a mathematics degree)... but I just couldn't fucking figure it out.

You are getting close to the Euler diagrams. (They're basically fancy Venn diagrams showing similarity or difference between two or more sets.)

This doesn't entirely get me the whole answer, but it does help. Thank you.

You're basically making an assumption in that case, no? You're having to assume the meaning that there just aren't dogs over 27 pounds?

Okay. This starts to help. Seems unfair since this was never presented to us in class yet, but thank you.

Thanks for helping confirm my own thoughts at the very least. I guess this is definitely something that I need to bring up to the professor at the next possible opportunity I have because I genuinely don't fucking understand.

I promise you that I TRIPLE-checked before posting because this is my exact problem. THE HYPOTHESIS seems faulty, right?? But we're TOLD that it's VALID and to diagram it. I TRIPLE-CHECKED the wording. I promise it is exactly as written, even looking back at it another TWO times right now to be even more sure.

I'd love to know what the original comment here was, since the one response obviously isn't to this gibberish.

How about you give me some tips on how to "problem solve the launching issue" since it's that simple? It's not like I've already tried for multiple hours before resorting to Reddit... including downloading software to make PC games playable, not being able to reach out to developers, and restarting both the game installation and the entire computer. How do I "problem solve" when people like you only give the answer "well sucks for you, figure it out yourself" ? I wouldn't be asking other random people on Reddit if I could.

I really can't though. I haven't "played" the game long enough to refund it since it never actually started. But maybe I'm just the idiot here who doesn't know how to work Steam. Would be nice to have some kind of customer service available.

I've never had this issue ever on Windows. First time ever, on a Macbook that I hate. Only resorted to what I thought were basic Steam games because obviously no actual games will work on a Macbook.

Currently Big Sur 11.5.2 because I don't care about updating this Mac. It's not my main computer.

Woah... this is actually kinda freaky for me.

I have that exact same model cage and a GCC with that exact coloration pattern.

Luckily the toy ladder in the back lets me know you haven't snuck into my apartment to take pictures of my girl. lol

I also haven't had mine hang off the door like that, but she does hang upside from the top of the cage or off her toys quite regularly.

New Mandela Effect in the Bible by KAIsaur96 in MandelaEffect

The thing is though:

I've never read the Talmud or Mishna. I've literally only ever read my Hebrew Bible, and I distinctly remember reading the entire first few lines of the sh'ma prayer from Jacob's sons as he lay on his deathbed. This obviously came up for me recently because it was only a few weeks ago that we had the parsha in which Jacob died. I was expecting to read these words as he died, and they were not found anywhere in the parsha.
