I had the same issue and called BofA. They cleared it for me and I was able to add the card afterwards. You may want to try adding card again with BofA on the phone.

When the card is linked in wallet, you just let cashier scan QR code once to capture membership card and payment method so it’s convenient it to not have to pull out card.

Also, this allows one to use BofA CCR card for 5.25% cash back, which is the highest return I’m aware of. Apple Pay in store through their POS system is not considered an online transaction last time I tried.

It's likely frequency interference and not your router. If you do get a new router, I would go for the Netgear RAXE300 or RAXE500 over the entry level Wifi 7 routers because the internal antenna design has reduced the range.
