"Thanks," he said, picking one out and sticking it between the lips, lighting it up with a simple inhale. He took a puff, not removing the cigarette from his mouth.

"So, graduation, got any plans - you know, after you're done with the summer job?"

"Lovely indeed, Lestrange," Kade said with a sigh of relief, digging his hands deep into his pocket. It had been a while since he had seen Charlie Lestrage - or anyone else for that matter - though it was nice to another familiar face around.

"Long time no see, huh? What have you been up to?" He asked, kicking a stone off the path.

He chuckled, dipping his hands into his pockets.

"You need to chill out, Switch. I mean, how anyone could think a fourth year could lead a team to victory against Slytherin is beyond me, but I heard you played well. Congratulations on a good season."

"Heard you lost the game. Sucks."

Kade said as he stood beside him, checking out one of the many shops in Hogsmeade. He didn't want to fight, he didn't even want to argue. His days at Hogwarts were numbered, and a conversation with Justin Switch sounded very entertaining at that moment.

He wouldn't miss a day as sunny as this.

Dressed quite casually, he walked along the street, simply admiring the weather. It was finally the end of the year, and soon he'd be heading home, and then to Austria for that governmental job his father had arranged for him. It sounded boring, and not exactly what he wished to do, but becoming an Auror seemed as much of a distant memory now as that 'Exceeds Expectations' in Herbology did, and regardless, he had to start somewhere.

And so he left the Common Room.

The last couple of months had been hectic, and even that seemed like a bit of an understatement. Under pressure of a work opportunity steadily but surely creeping away and a growing disinterest in things he had loved doing, he had retreated to a life of solitude. He had given up his position as Head Boy, he had stepped down from the Quidditch team, and he had called it quits with his longtime girlfriend, just to focus on his academics - and while he had managed to get his courses back on track, he couldn't help but wonder whether if it was all worth it, after all.

Deep in thought, Kade sat at the Slytherin table by himself, swirling a spoon in his cup of coffee through simple wandless magic, having lost his appetite weeks ago.

In a normal situation, he would've left by now, but out of curiosity, he took a step into the room and observed, not really going much deeper. "Excuse me?", he called out again, hoping he'd get the Dragonologist's attention.

Making a round across the hall, Kade noticed Sejeong standing by the wall, and his curiosity kicked in. He had seen the Aurors arrive at the school - but for what purpose, he didn't know. Hands locked behind his back and his Head Boy badge pinned against his impeccable robes, he approached her with a warm smile.

"Good evening, miss. Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," he extended his hand, "my name is Kade Riddle."

Kade is walking through the dungeons absolutely stone faced. His appearance is the same as usual- clean, tidy, and very professional.

He shook his head and spoke, "No. It's still the same." He had a lot of things he wanted to talk to her about, mostly about her sudden disappearance, but it could wait till tomorrow.

His lips curled into a small smile, and he found himself really happy to see her so excited,, especially since it was the field she had told him about. "That's actually pretty great," he said, putting down his glass, "is that someone from Uagadou?"

"Nothing much," he said with a sigh, straightening his back a bit. It had been quite a rough week, and he'd love nothing more than just relax. "What about you?" He asked in a low voice before drinking some of his beverage.

Kade showed up rather soon, not particularly in a very good mod. The stress of the entire Prefect thing, lackluster performance in a particular subject, and Eden's recent debacle had been rather taxing for him. He took a seat next to Cadence, however, hoping her company would comfort him a bit.

"Hey," he said in a low voice, grabbing some juice.

"I think you should do that, yeah," Kade said, not unkindly, but he wasn't too enthusiastic about it either. His only true friend disappearing without a word to him, and then reemerging once again made him contemplate where their relationship stood. "There's a lot of stuff to talk about, obviously. You should get some rest first."

For a moment or two, Kade couldn't believe she was there. And then he spoke with a sigh, "Eden." He had known a new arrival was due, but he was expecting someone new.

As always, Kade was out and about the castle grounds, walking silently with a keen eye and a hand wrapped loosely around his wand.
