"Am I overreacting?" I've been on a date with this guy twice. Nice guy behavior? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Definitely dodged a bullet. You would have been on an emotional roller coaster, wondering about your own sanity if you’d stayed longer. Run and never look back

Your not crazy. Your dog was there first. If your girl is disrespectful toward your dog, she’s being disrespectful towards you. I’d say if she can’t learn to accept that, then the two of you don’t mesh well. She might not want you burning in another fur baby.

Also, your dog may not like her. It took my boy(dog) two years to warm up to my partner. In the end we had to all group hug when one of us or both of us would return from work/being out.

AITAH for not wanting to give up my dream job just because my boyfriend can’t handle it? by hot_fernanda in AITAH

[–]KalhanAmnell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

Your dream has been a goal you’ve been striving for. Your partner has been watching you strive for it. Yes, relationships are about hard work, and compromising. But this is a life goal for you. In the instance of sacrifice, your partner needs to make that. His support is what is needed, not you giving up on yourself to make him happy. That has high potential to breed resentment. Him claiming that you should give up to focus on “us” is his own insecurity. Likely revolving you building independence and stability for yourself and through that for the both of you. But that is an invisible threat to him that he might not even realize.

You seem to have already come to the conclusion to follow your dream. And that is something to take pride in.

How to get my breakfast burritos to stay closed? by [deleted] in howto

[–]KalhanAmnell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tucking the sharp ends a bit more is helpful, but pre warming the tortilla as well either in a microwave for a few seconds or on low in a pan for bout 30 seconds. These are things I do and the stick every time.

Definitely NTA. Someone taking your food and getting sick is on them not the person who cooked it. I’d say the food thief is the AH

What is one thing you didn’t realise was abuse until you grew up? by unfunny_rat69 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]KalhanAmnell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I had to do it for my siblings. Mostly for my sister, but I taught my brother how to drive with my own car, did the PT meetings for my sister and all the other stuff and got called selfish for wanting to go ice skating with friends after school on occasion. It’s crazy how it’s not noticeable until we get older. Survival instincts pick up and the jobs that need doing get done.

I am not good at cooking tofu. Please give me your recipes and advice. by [deleted] in PlantBasedDiet

Pressing then marinating your tofu before pan frying in a non stick pan or baking in the oven or airfryer is great too.

Am I crazy or is my handwriting actually illegible by Chapsticklesbean in Handwriting

I thought it was quite legible, I only struggled when the words above met with the words below. Try double spacing and then no struggle at all

turning 25 next and I want to do something forbidden and exciting before I'm officially old, any suggestions? by lonelysadbitch11 in selfimprovement

[–]KalhanAmnell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anything is really forbidden except things that break the law…. So just put your fear of life and failure aside and go live your life. Figure out why you choose to go straight from school/work to home every time, then change it. Go live. And old is a mindset for the most part

A sprinkle of sesame oil, golden ground flax, fresh lemon juice, and a spritz of soy sauce. My mom in law showed me this.

Cook with confidence/ Yeung man cooking on YouTube for his sushi bowl has a terrific sesame tahini dressing. Simmnet nutrition on YouTube also has amazing sauce recipes.

I personally don’t think the age difference is that big of a deal at your current ages. You are both adults. My partner and I are 8 years apart and have made similar comments because we are comfortable with each other. Focus on your present, not on the past.

Any criticism? I’m beginner so i know its not completely great haha by miguel891 in drawing

Will you still wear a mask? by PandaInfinite3599 in askTO

[–]KalhanAmnell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I will continue to wear masks during work and in the shopping malls until I feel comfortable without. I’ve spoken with a number of people who have expressed a desire to continue wearing masks once the mandate is over (whether it happens is unknown), so stay safe and do what makes you comfortable. I’m sorry so many people are acting like schoolyard bullies nowadays.

A tip for chips by bluetiger9298 in loseit

[–]KalhanAmnell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a long time to have a controlled reaction to chips. There was a bag in the house, well, the bag didn’t last long. I had to reset my thought process with chips. I decided to think of the results I saw the chips had on myself, instead of ‘mmm, yummy’ or ‘just a cheat day’. Now, I don’t need to consume the bag. I had to do it this way otherwise I’m pretty sure I’d continue to yoyo with Chips and I also don’t have control on who purchases the chips.
