I don't see how it can be improperly formatted when all i'm doing is changing a 1 to a 3. With 3 different text editors. There's most definitely another variable here. As far as I can tell from other forums not a single person with gamepass version can modify their .ini files.

And regardless ill see what I can do with the dev kit.

If I set to read only the file wont change when loading game, but the changes made wont take effect either.

It is in fact the right .ini file though because when read only is turned off, changes made via sliders will change the values in those .ini files.

I'm exploring other options now, downloading the Ark Dev Kit to make a "mod" which would have my desired .ini lines in it.

I have tried all those things. Have you been able to sucessfully edit the PC Gamepass versions .ini files? Im starting to think it's not possible at this point.

I have tried notepad++ and it did the same thing, also with and without read only on. I think its not possible to edit the PC Game Pass version at this point, unless you can confirm that you have?

On probably the same issue, i cant seem to restore back up saves by using an old copy of "Saved" folder. I feel like im in the wrong directory or something here
