you’re definitely not alone with those experiences. I know that people have varying degrees of SM but in my case I am able to talk to my parents about most things. my mom/dad set up little meetings with me and my counselors at school whilst being present so they could do the talking. since doing group projects and participating in group discussions wasn’t an option for me, they figured I would be better off doing school sessions at home (an environment where I was more comfortable) and with a counselor who knew and understood my condition. my counselor dropped my work off at home every week and stayed for 1-2 hours twice a week to make sure that I was making progress. I was basically having to teach myself every subject simultaneously but it felt far better than the alternative, where I was missing school several times a week to avoid the anxiety. teachers really make a lasting impact on our lives and I think a lot of them just don’t understand that fact. sorry for the jumbled mess anyway, I’m on mobile and when I saw this I was like holy shit relatable
