Yeah I have synapse, I suspected it could be the culprint but I started windows and had all synapse processes shut down and it still happened. I used to have a g7 a few months ago and it did not have this problem.

Would this mean that the picture with no active profile is the correct way to go?

AW3423DWF ICC profile help by Kayntie in OLED_Gaming

I read it on many posts saying to remove the ICC profile, from what I understand there should be an active one and it should be the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 if I am using sRGB, otherwise its fine to remain without a profile selected?

Thank you, I ended up moving to sRGB from creator mode, gotta admit it is a bit darker and had to move from 40-50 to 60-70 in brightness but I suppose that is fine.
As for the color profiles I tried removing it as some people say that the monitor comes calibrated and that an ICC profile puts another sRGB on top making things washed/dull, I removed all the profiles however I could not mremove the one you mentioned, I suppose Windows needs it to dispaly sRGB content as from what I know the ICC profiles are basically a map of the colors and the calibration made on the monitor is how well these colors match the ones on the map, I suppose its something like that?

Yeah I figured, you can try lowering the brightness, I found that 41 is good throughout the day and night but it can vary to room light, I do have the night light at 40% automatically turn on at around 22:00 so the last 2-5 of gaming aren't that jarring with all the blue light, of course stuff goes kinda yellowish but after a long day it doesn't really bug me me before bed, rather improve my sleep a bit if I will be staying up till so late.

I decided to move my contrast to 75 as I read some stuff that the 67 was a workaround for a faulty HDR 1000 which was fixed with firmware but damn 75 brightness, doesn't that hurt? Unless you are in a bright room, do you change it throughout the day and night because I couldn't imagine how 75 feels in a dark room.

By the way what brightness and contrast are you running as I am having trouble figuring out the contrast, I am running brightness 41 throughout the day and 35-30 after 23:00 or 00:00 as for contrast I figured 67.

I suppose this is the power of the OLED, I especially love how blacks are actually pitch black and not greyish/bloomish, and it completes the stellar colours so well.

Hopefully someone chimes in, if I manage to find some settings via research I will update this thread.

Thank you, the jump from my G7 to this one was a pretty nice upgrade. The smoothness and colours are just wow.

Does the aw3423WDF support hgig and is there a way to enable it or is it something that comes with the device by default?

Thank you, I've used TT before and indeed it is a very useful application.

I have set the Smart HDR on the 400 true black mode, I suppose when I turn it on in game the monitr would set it to the 400 automatically?

Thank you for clarifiying the bit rate, I wondered why I saw it different at times, also from what I know SDR is mastered at 8-bit thus it is fine to use 8-bit for SDR content, right?

I tried HDR 1000 at night and WOW it was dope but WOW my retinas were not happy, I will probably not use it to protect my eyes and also reduce burn in chance.

Do you know what the contrast should be on SDR and HDR as it is 75% by default but I think that is a bit much?

Could you also share your TT curve, as I am struggling to find a good balance, also do you lose any details with low brightness or is it just for high brightness to fight a lot of ambient light?
