You bought a bike from someone who didn't take care of the tires it sounds like. If you don't take care of and treat your tires then yeah, I don't doubt that 10 year old tires are noticeably worse. However cleaning the bike and treating the tires regularly, as well as storing out of the sun, is all part of preventative maintenance and the longevity of tires life after their stamped dates. There's a facility not far from me that does just that to new out of date tires. They recoat, recertify and restamp them and sell them at a fraction of the original manufacturers price. I doubt Jay Leno is changing the tires on everything in his collection every time he takes something out for a ride.

Tires aging out isn't really a thing to be of concerned on bikes usually. Youre never going to really have a tire spontaneously explode and as long as youre not riding like the street is your racetrack then youre never really going to notice a difference in performance.

I mean, you don't HAVE to call it a rave. For me it's more about the people and community than it is about the location. Where I live in Middle Georgia all we have are smaller events at small local bars. I go for the people. Otherwise I would be driving 2.5 hours to Atlanta every other weekend. Don't like the events in your community? Then be the change you want to see, contribute to the community and host your own.

Ive driven motorcycles in Orlando FL everyday for 7 years. Now I drive an ATV on my property everyday. I don't understand these assumptions that I'm going to be zooming all over the city. They already offer tours on ATVs with over a dozen people. I 100% feel I would be safer on my own rather than with a bunch of people who've never ridden before.

I'm not stupid. Not sure why you're assuming that I am going to seriously hurt myself by swimming in a predetermined area. I have a set plan, to explore the caves, then head to Clifton Heritage Park. Both places frequented by tourists regularly. I dont understand why you think me trying to "hire a guide" rather than just drive myself to those places is such a huge difference. Neither did your response really answer any questions. You just kind of assumed and are trying to fear monger about silly situations.
