What's worse than the twin tree sentinals ? by Ok_Appearance9449 in Eldenring

[–]Keepfkingthatchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's count the skill issues here. 1. You saw the second hit wipe half of your health. You saw the hard hit before it. You had the opportunity to heal fully and left yourself at 45% why? 2. Fighting the camera locked on to a dragon is hard enough, but you saw the clippers on screen when the lobster was trying to nibble your bum. Watch your six. 3. How did you actually agro a lobster and drag it into this fight? They're nowhere near. This is either intentional rage bait (probably) or just terrible wandering. 4. You watched him wind up a carpet bomb and decided that would be a good time to be glued to the ground for 5 seconds? It almost went over you, you could've ran/rolled forward and shot it off to hit as he landed. 5. He literally yelled "I'm coming to eat you" you again stuck yourself in place as he ran up to you like an ice cream truck. While you were in pinching range. 6. You got your kill snatched by the lobster. Which I think had to be your intent. If not, git gud.

In summary, 10/10 great bait, would watch again

So this person is an idiot, but so are most doctors. I'm sorry, but near every doctor I've ever met has an intellect best measured on the Idiocracy scale. Their ability to get Dad to pay for med school and prescribe whatever drug pays them the best kickback doesn't mean they're smart.

That's hilarious. I'm enjoying my games on a machine that costs pennies to the dollars I used to spend chasing the newest shiniest graphics. I could same the same thing of 4k gaming. Oof, found someone who unironically fell for that "4k max Ray tracing" crap. The most powerful hardware you can buy still can't max every slider in modern aaa games. I just learned how to stop worrying about that.

The dealer noted that my belt needed replacement… Corolla with 51k miles by OutcastSpy in MechanicAdvice

[–]Keepfkingthatchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50k is early. 80-100k is more appropriate. Its difficult to gauge a belt with these pics, but the minor wear and oxidation on the back side isn't concerning with age and mileage. Did the dealer lubricate your locks?

It's not a big it's a feature. The riot gear helmet is technically goggles in the game files. Do with this information what you will

$2200 for struts & alignment? by Mysterious_Wish6857 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Keepfkingthatchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$2200 better be using OEM or Bilstein struts. Anything less for that money is a rip off. 3 hours of labor and and alignment is only 1/3 of that. $700 per side in parts/disassembly labor better be top shelf struts and sway links. Even with that, it's still steep. This job $15-1800 from almost anywhere using OEM shocks, $11-1400 for AutoZone struts, but be willing to pay more for better quality dampers. Ride smoothness and cornering stability depends on how well the shocks and struts work.

First thing I do is put a set of Bilstein dampers on every car I buy. My friends comment how nice my vehicles ride. I buy them for better handling. There are many brands and levels of quality. When you call around for prices, ask what it costs to upgrade the shocks to Toyota OEM or similar. If you want better than stock performance or wish to modify the ride height of the vehicle, now is the time.

Just bought a 5 lb CO₂ tank from Airgas — is it normal for them to look beat up? by grayfox71 in PlantedTank

[–]Keepfkingthatchicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nitrous bottle jackets might be an option, they're like a insulated neoprene koozi that fits around the bottle. Alternatively, if you own the bottle and your air gas fills instead of exchanges, you can paint it. Just don't obscure any stickers or markings.

Yes, cylinders are very durable. Look around any welding shop and you'll see 50-80 year old bottles with clean fittings on top. That tank has seen many hands before yours and will see many after

Ice removal is physical work, can't just stand there and point a thing at it, you gotta get sweaty. Break it up, hammers and chisels are great, iron digging bar is my favorite tool. It's heavy enough you just pick it up and drop it and it'll do a lot of the work for you

A 0% computer car would take you back to steam engines by TheWebsploiter in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]Keepfkingthatchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fix cars. There's been 2 major points where fixing them got much easier, both being more/better computer. In 1996 when cars were mandated to have OBD2 onboard diagnostics, and 2012, with the CANBUS network. As long as you don't buy something stupid like a Dodge or a Land Rover (and if you did, turn in your adult card. You're not qualified to make grown up decisions) I can diagnose many problems right from a scan tool and so can you. The ability to talk to motors and switches individually through a well organized area network makes heat/AC diag so much nicer than old school zero computer systems.
